No. Some people like to think it is but it is really just confirmation bias

Well, there is a "gay face."

"Members of the jury - on what basis do you find the defendant guilty?

"He looks guilty!"

"Anything else?"

"Well - he was accused, wasn't he?"

Is this an example of the kind of crap you would put in a unmoderated forum?

Science doesnt agree with you.

There is lots of scientific evidence that people tend to judge other people on facial characteristics.
There is very little, if any, scientific evidence that there is any accuracy to this.

Whenever i'm in some public place and i meet/see an obese person, i will often catch myself thinking;

'This person has little self control.'

Its the same with a persons face.

I will usually make a snap judgement - but only about the 'attractiveness' of their face.

Is it 'wrong' [or a 'mistake'] to do that ?

An obese face does you no good. Kim has one. Barnaby is getting there. Clive is past it.

So there’s an official sounding wiz bang description for face reading?
Wow, new word for me “physiognomy”.... kind of has elements of psychology and judgement rolled into one.

Our faces do tend to tell a story of our lives.
Lots of make up, Botox, nose up in air = Vanity?
Harsh deep lines and ruddy complexion = Outdoor worker or farmer?
Lots of tattoos and piercings on face, dreadlocks = employed, in public view ....or behind the scenes (fork lift driver etc) or unemployed and bored with life?
Neat short hair, wears glasses, clean shaven = office personnel, lawyer, banker, etc?

Feel free to add to list.

I think faces are fascinating and do tell us a lot about the person.

What does your face tell about you?

Here is a fine person, an excellent caring human being, who has seen some hard times and has risen above it all to become even more excellent... and who, rather than allowing sometimes vicious experiences to twist and distort him into a cunning and spiteful character, goes out of his way to show kindness to all.....  Cool

A bit like Lols, I think... you simply cannot destroy true quality...

"So there’s an official sounding wiz bang description for face reading?"

- Watch this space for the coming Science and countless new professorships.... one thing I love to do when dealing with 'experts' in 'body language' is do things that I know the result of* - to throw them off... such 'sciences' are fatally flawed - which is precisely why a 'lie detector test' is a combination of 'readings' and the interpretation of the operator - and why they are not admissible as evidence...

* they say that scratching your nose shows you are lying - I love to scratch my nose to throw them off - easy when you suffer allergies as I do from dust etc.  Cool  Anyway - nobody I know agrees with any conclusions they may draw..... funny that... these people dwell in Neverland... I knew more than a few Diggers who train hard to throw the shrinks off and get their message across....  train hard - PTSD easy...

Lols, for better or worse, we all judge on looks. It's part of the survival strategy. We have had people here say they do not even notice when they are surrounded by others, colours and differences are invisible. They are virtue signalling of course, we all see differences. It can be overcome but it is against our nature and women seem better at it than men. That is probably also evolutionary. The X chromosome is passed no matter what, the Y is not. This is our nature. Should we overcome it in the world we now find ourselves? Yep. I's not that easy though, it seems.

IN a family/tribal sense, those that look like you are your kin. Those that don't are a threat. This will always show up more in males as they are there to protect their family/tribe. This is not a bad thing, it served us well for millions of years, but it does not necessarily mesh with what is expected in the world we live in.

True that. But I think physiognomy goes beyond just a "fat face."

I think PETAperccary's "fat face" is jizz filled. Bloated cheeks, but it's OK. It's sad that he can't expose his desire for protein. Such is life. Now where are those bumsluts PETA? Perhaps it's just a boast that females like to be bumfucked? Perhaps Kaiju might sustain your claims? How does this muckhole stuff work, PETApeccary?

Kaiju, do you like to be bumfucked? Care to give PETA a low done on it? Your opinion. Not a sidestep. Are you willing to be bum rogered by PETApeccarry.

You mean like this fat face....??

...

I want one of those...

I once dreamed I was visiting Cambodia and met up with a local - he had one of these stashed, and the only thing missing was the propellor... cheap as chips it was, too... I think there's still one in the old Imperial Capital Palace at Hue - crashed there in 1968, I think, during Tet.

Powerball and I could nail one for $600k US ...
