Just wondering

Has anyone used freeoffice instead of microsoft office?

https://www.freeoffice.com/en/

If so, how do you find it?

Some of these might be worth a look

https://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-office-suite.htm

Also

https://www.techradar.com/au/best/free-office-software

6. FreeOffice

A free version of a premium suite, with most pro features intact

Supports Microsoft formats
Includes PDF reader
No thesaurus

Like WPS Office Free, SoftMaker FreeOffice provides analogs for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (TextMaker, PlanMaker and Presentations respectively).

As with all the free office suites in this roundup, there's support for Microsoft file formats from 1997 onwards. It also offers effortless conversion to both PDF and Epub formats, which is a welcome addition.

Unfortunately, some key features are exclusive to the premium version of the software. Some of these (like tabbed browsing) are nice to have but non-essential, but the lack of a thesaurus is a real drawback for anyone who writes on a regular basis.

FreeOffice doesn't look quite as smart as WPS Office, but if you dislike the Microsoft ribbon and find it unintuitive then you'll prefer the slightly more old fashioned approach to navigation.

You can read our review of FreeOffice here

    Download SoftMaker FreeOffice
The paid for version adds thesaurus, administration features and caters for up to five PCs

nope, it's finished downloading .... didn't move for hours than it downloaded in a matter of minutes

I'm not happy with it though ... seems to be an online version. It wasn't what i wanted and it didn't say it was an online version in the information pack provided before i paid for it

While Australia is under 'cyber' attack from all directions.
I've cut down on 90% of my online associations. I no longer keep 'accounts' attached in any shape or form and just stick to minimal interaction. There is no 'real' certain guaranteed 'protection', even from the most expensive 'Government' protections, etc.
Privacy is a luxury in this day and age and the less of me online (beyond time spent) - the better.
K.I.S.S

Millions get lost via 'online muggings' than the usual $50 in a back alley mugging these days in Australia.
