You can do anything you want, but there's always a price to pay. The damage to his mind and body to stay awake via ICE would be great and for what?

Houses and Units that have had ICE users in them are 'contaminated' and highly toxic causing following occupants to have poor health and high cancer rates.
It's relatively new. But such Homes and Units are no longer 'rentable' or 'ownable' and become un-usable financial disasters for the owners and landlords.

The contamination from an ICE affected abode is much like walking into an asbestos damaged place.

The only way to treat an Ice-junkie on the 'go' - is with a length of wood.

Ice Labs in Homes/Units are highly toxic environments that remain in walls, wood, etc.
So too does Ice just being used, but not as much as Labs.
Doing Ice in any place, leaves a lot of residual contamination.
It doesn't have to be a 'Lab' to void future tenancy.

The only cure, is to pull the place down.

Notice how all the Aussie kids are turning out all wonky and full of 'health issues' because their parent's are the biggest users of drugs and alcohol per population in the world.

People won't rent a Ice contaminated (be it Lab or usage) unit or house, let alone buy one. They're dead in the water accommodations. Any exposure can result in adverse health deterioration to the new occupant. The only 'sure' thing to rid a place of it is basically tear the walls and more out and then do more Tests for contamination.
Basically though, if your property shows that it had Ice-Occupancy, it's basically worthless unless you can 'lie' about it. No-one want's to live or rent such. More and more people get the Tests done, because there are more and more Ice Junkies these days and they are all living somewhere from dirty little bedsitters and micro-units to Block Mansions (mostly 'labs') and Apartment Units on the Gold Coast.
Majority of Landlords turn a blind eye and hover over 'Buyer/Renter beware' ignorance.

Basically, the Ice Junkies are a scourge on the Rental Market (more than Buyer Market). Ice contamination doesn't go away. Might as well rent a 'radioactive' room.

When they catch these ice addicts.

We should offer them a lifetime supply of ice in exchange for the dealer.

Then put both of them in a room and provide them with all the ice they can use until they die.

They will never be of any use to society.

And their demise will be a benifit to the world.

Of course, the dealer would be offered an opportunity to get out of the room with the ice addict,

If he turns over the supplier.

But the cops won't like that, as many cops are, in fact, suppliers.

I honestly see Australia becoming the biggest Drug/Alcohol infected Nation on the planet. We have already the highest ratio per population of 'usage'.
China, Mexico, Columbia and a number or other nations have been easily importing their 'stuff' for a while now since before Corona. Sure the Police and Customs but big hauls, but they're probably just shaving the loads by 50%. The big bust they caught from Mexico last year, was still seen within a few weeks of that with amphetamines on the streets all around the country.

We live in the Region of Sahul, which reaches the Wallace Line half into Indonesia. It is the most 'virulent' region of the world. More poisonous, toxic, venomous things here both on land and in water with South America a close second. They too have a nasty drug/alcohol problem.
Even the trees here emitt their 'blue haze' of sedation.

Australia will eventually become the largest 'illicit drug' manufacturer in the world, but like a shadow hopefully of producing the best Medicines in the world that are as strong as a Shogun's sword and as double-edged as Excalibur.

I think the Ice junkie epidemic and its effects on our society are more detrimental to our society, just as much as Corona is. All the junkies/alcos have piled out of Social Isolation with violence on their minds.

...and we all know the mutations in the children that they pop out. As of yet, none have exhibited 'super powers' though.
