In the interests of reading into the story outside of what you're paid to do:

I'm not paid to do anything.

I believe in maximizing sustainable development AND the common welfare. I know that's impossible in free-market economies, especially in hyper-partisan 'democracies' like the US.

Quote:
Feel free to visit Winston Sterzel’s and Matthew Tye’s youtube channel for more on the depravities of the Chinese government.

And support Drew Pavlou as he battles to help rid Australia of the infiltration of malevolent Chinese government figures, from some students to businesspeople.

Or is the Chinese government monitoring what you watch?

While the CCP is proceeding in the following manner, I will give them the benefit of a doubt:

"The Communist Party of China's (CPC) top disciplinary agency pledged to maintain a strong and persistent crackdown on corruption in a communiqué released Thursday, and the document also said the Party will actively handle "the new challenges and new situations" of the anti-corruption campaign, including strengthening investigations and punishment behind the "disorderly expansion of capital" and monopoly of some online platforms, vowing to cut off the collusion between capital and power."

Meantime poor old Biden can't get anything done, because of the greedy types in his own party, forget the redudlicans.

No, a vision for a better world, namely sustainable  development and common prosperity,  and the determination to achieve it.

Ah! The things we'll say in the service of self-interest!

Putin laughs at China because he's watching the Soviet experience playing out in China.

Now that IS ironic,  a self-interested  'individual sovereignty' ideologue accusing a socialist of "self-interest".....

Well Putin's  foreign minister (who signed the friendship and cooperation accord with China) obviously isn't aware of Putin's thought then.... which differ from  many Russian intellectuals who are smart enough to know China is not the USSR, and can see the massive growth prospects of Chinese socialism.

Free speech has always been a problem for any despot, potential or real, and of either 'left' or 'right' - no difference in reality - each is as equally dedicated to removing all powers and rights from others to suit themselves first and foremost.

Under no circumstances must their personal sovereignty to make the decisions binding on all, for the greater good of course, by interrupted or challenged by the personal sovereignty of others and especially of the majority who may overwhelm them and put a stop to their great crusade ... only they know what is best for every one, and that is indisputable... if you don't like that, they can enforce it for you and must be given absolute power to do so at whim, otherwise there could be no guarantee of a tame society to work the miracles in.

That's the way all supremacists and despots think....

All closet Fascists are like that - regardless of their political hue.....

A Molotov-Ribbentrop Friendship and Cooperation Accord for our time.

The Soviet economy grew faster in the 50s and 60s than thd OECD average - then look what happened.

“Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.”

“The prospect now before us in America ought . . . to engage the attention of every man of learning to matters of power and right, that we may be neither led nor driven blindfolded to irretrievable destruction.”

“Abuse of words has been the great instrument of sophistry and chicanery, of party, faction, and division of society.”

- John Adams.

For a group to say that free speech is a problem shows clearly that the aim and intent of that group is assumption of total power and control, by the State, over the thoughts and feelings and rights of the people - the realm of the extremist despot Fascist of either left or right.

Hence my dissertation on the Perpetual Civil War Between People and Elected Government - the question always was, is, and will always remain - who should hold power in the State?  The people or the apparatus of government?

Historically states have been the greatest mass murderers in history - and given the comparatively overwhelming power that resides in the hands of the state - and is reliant by the population in doing so of a benign and benevolent state - residing such power in the hands of a few individual representatives of the state is the greatest clear and present danger to all mankind.

For those with eyes to see - even this country has such things in motion..... persons bedazzled by their own power and without a shred of remorse inflicting harm on others at whim ..... often such people hold seats as magistrates and such... or politicians or public servants..... without remorse.....

Question: can homo sapiens aspire to common prosperity and eradication of war beween nations?

The world is my country, all mankind are my brothers, to do good is my religion:  Thomas Paine

"Paine authored Common Sense (1776) and The American Crisis (1776–1783), two of the most influential pamphlets at the start of the American Revolution, and helped inspire the patriots in 1776 to declare independence from Great Britain. His ideas reflected Enlightenment-era ideals of transnational human rights.

Hmm....sovereignty ... a tricky concept.

'No man is an island, entire of itself...'

'From each according to his ability, to each according to his need'

Idealistic as they are, people will resist and resent being forced to be generous, compassionate, moral or virtuous; they will rebel against it in any way feasible, even if only visible by lying flat.

The totalitarian state, on the other hand, will need to increase in brutality to impose them, but not because of the state intentions are next to godliness, but because these impositions are their single guaranteed source of power-attainment and its accumulation.

homo sapiens can aspire to anything............. what it does not aspire to is being totally controlled by some elitist group that consider that it knows what is best for all - as long as it pays them best of all.... being the Great Leader carries with it a hefty pay package..... but don't let us ever consider that the pay package is what they really want..... that and to rule without any opposition...
