Interstate Travel Restrictions

I have absolutely no problem with it.  But, it likely is totally unconstitutional.

Quote:
Section 92 of the Constitution of Australia,[1] as far as is still relevant today is:
“      ... trade, commerce, and intercourse among the States, whether by means of internal carriage or ocean navigation, shall be absolutely free.      ”

'Intercourse' has been determined to be movement between the State which may not be hindered etc.

Oh well.  Esoteric, but if you want .... have at it.

I fully support the interstate travel restrictions.

Here in WA, you basically can't travel out of your LGA.

I support it as well....but it is unlawful, just like Operation Sovereign Borders, which I do not support.

Overall, despite the constitutional guarantee that intercourse among the states shall be absolutely free, the states retain a degree of latitude to limit border-crossing as long as it is appropriate and to protect public health.

Yes, I'll cop that.  But.....a blanket ban would be hard to sustain given the numbers.  I really don't care.  Just had a thought bubble.

It would really test the actions of Government.  They'd actually have to justify it with solid evidence, instead of relying on the good tolerance of the plebs facing a nasty.

I stress.....this is a thought bubble.  Maybe there will be a battle ground later after the dust has settled to work through it all.  I support the closures.

If you're in Tweed Heads and you spot a hotty the on other side of the road in Coolangatta, are you allowed to wonder if her clit is pierced or are you only allowed to clit wonder from north to south?
