From how I interpreted it, when someone has lung problems with this virus their lungs are mechanically functioning ok.
The red blood cells in your bloodstream that carry oxygen from the lungs to other organs are no longer carrying the oxygen very well at all.
So your other organs have a lack of oxygen.

An incubator 'treats' the lungs. The problem may be in the red blood cells.
If we can treat the red blood cells, that will have a better outcome

I'll have to read it again. Why can't people explain things simply?

I heard an ER nurse talking the other day about the lack of equipment i.e. Ventilators.

She said they were also unable to source CPAP machines as an alternative.

I use a CPAP machine & I can tell you that one of the first things I was told by the supplier & then finding out myself .......

you do not use them if you have a cold or flu or a build up of phlegm.

Why because it pushes the fluid back down into your lungs ......

next result pneumonia.

OK, so CPAP and ventilators pressurise the lungs?

Would this be detrimental if there were any congestion in the lung?

Hey, this would not be the first time the medical system use a poor solutions to a problem.
