Daylight Savings.

I always thought everyone loved it, and I was the only secret hater of it.

I’m actually amazed many don’t like DLS, after all.

So why isn’t DLS reviewed and voted upon whether to stay or not, for current times, as it’s been in force for decades!

I love the beginning of DLS, hate the middle when it gets dark too late, love it in Feb/March but start to dislike it about now because it gets light so late in the morning.

I also prefer DSL to DLS.

I have heard it suggested a compromise might be to move all states and territories forward half an hour all year round.

We hate it. That's why this Board & Chat have had many DLS Topics appear each year about twice in the year.

DLS is a time frame rigged to suit a minority of industries over the majority by far.

I don't hate it, bit it's just not necessary.

Thankfully WA doesn't have DLS or toll roads.

Yes it it. You have Europeans in the North and Africans in the South of the State. A lovely balance of Apartheid.

And no toll roads.

What sort of mug would pay a toll?

sure they are. Can't send the kids to school an hour earlier, can't go to work an hour earlier, can't go home an hour earlier.

Stop worrying about your curtains, contrary to what you've been told daylight savings does not actually increase the amount of time the sun stays up

Cairns gets 1/2 hour more at sunrise, Brisbane gains about 3/4 hour where Sydney gets about 1 hour more. Hobart about 1 1/2 hours more at sunrise.  Snow fades more in summer.
