Seems to be a lot of people still easily tricked by those transparently misleading beach photos and 'click-bait' journalism.

seems to be a lot of fools that refuse to believe whats in front of them too

then again  fd maybe looking for more money and wants the click count to go up....  he is usually pedantic as we know   but this is extreme..

What is extreme about wanting to go to the beach?

Here's a good example - the people in the photo were 3 pixels high, but he reckons he could tell how far apart they were:

We dont have that kind of fine nonsense here in SA

you don't have idiots thinking their right to go to the beach over rules public safety

fd, maybe you should move to SA. Then your problem is solved

You don't catch the virus from sand John.

it's not the sand that's the problem fd. It's the idiots who insist on being on it because it's their 'right'

You don't have to sit on their lap John. The beach is a big place.

you should tell that to the idiots that caused the beaches to close

That would be the politicians, click-bait 'journalists' and hysterical internet hall monitors who fell for a clearly misleading photo - over and over again.

The people on the beach did nothing wrong.

you turning into a conspiracy nutter fd? i saw clusters of groups on the photo. you ignoring them and pretending it was all because of a telephoto lens, whilst certainly your prerogative, is really not going to help you

Bondi Beach goers spoiled it for everyone.

It was the response to them that spoiled it.

Still see people walking the beaches and swimming where I am.
But we don't have the 'high density' that City beaches have.
So not much has changed really, here.
Still see families out and about enjoying the outdoors here.

Alas, everything is modelled on Australia's high-density Cities and the rest of the country has to follow suit because of these inferior uncivilised city people. They've spoiled everything!

How high? Even at the height of the beach panic, you could still go to Bondi and maintain the required social distance.

whats extreme is the stupidity of those going to the beach. Most of the country hasn't closed beaches because most people behave. Idiots not listening caused some beaches to be closed. If you have a problem, blame the idiots rather than the govt.

yes, govco should slap them with a wet lettuce leaf and leave it at that

responses get stricter when people ignore the rules as they stand. If everyone followed the rules, there would be no need to tighten the restrictions. If you have a problem with tightening of restrictions, follow the rules instead of crying. It's not that difficult

True. But most don't. Bondi is not really about the Surf. It's one of the most crappiest Beaches in Australia. Stinks like turd hardened by salt. Heaps of Rips. Waves are mostly 'dumpers'. Thieves roam the vacant towels looking for keys or phones under them. Life Savers can't work unless they have Camera's watching them. Beach Masters slug along like Elephant Seals looking for a easy wet female for their harem. Foreign Gangs find safety in numbers to act tough.

It's all about the 'Scene' and the Businesses around the Beach. All about Money & Sex.

Bondi is where its all about 'getting together'.

Little wonder the Back Packers kept on going in Partay' mood.

So now 'every' Beach is considered to be like Bondi.
It's ludicrous I know. Considering this type of Beach activity is only seen on 5% of all Australian beaches.

Apparently on all Night Dives. All Divers must stay at least 1.5m away, even in low viz conditions. Never know what you might catch down there.

One of the times I agree with you.

Bondi is a crap beach.

I've never understood the attraction.

Not listening to what? We had the same idiotic over-reaction to people at the Gold Coast today. Again, the article had a big photo clearly showing plenty of space between people.
