If you can't be a good example, you have to be a horrible warning.

Spot on video Mothra, but the parliaments must take responsibility for the bush fires, and they should apologize to us for their neglect of adequately supplying firefighters with all that they needed to fight fires that were anticipated for a coming hot summer in drought. The politicians were warned by the firies and little or no notice was taken

Over twenty lives were lost and it's a pity politicians can't be charged for refusing to act, they're getting away with far too much and have the gall to just carry on as if nothing happened. Yes, Morrison, Gladys Longname, Daniel Andrews should be thrown in jail, along with the entire National party, to me they're just a mob of neglectful wankers not deserving of any ones respect, and certainly not our votes

Well - after I proposed a private fundraising thing - no salaries etc to be taken - to purchase six Canadair CL-415 water bombers, and sought to get Andrew Constance on board - suddenly Scotty came out and said the government would buy them etc..

Trouble is - the fires were past by then and the death and destruction had gone through - so they won't be needed until the next time.. - but there'll be plenty of work for them along the way to The Next Big One.

Pity he didn't listen when Greg Mullins, NSW fire chief, reported their need two years ago... too bloody busy playing politics, these politicians, instead of managing the nation on our behalf and with our consent.

NONE of them - LNP, Labor or Greens, can 'scape the lash on this one...

An issue that must be discussed in any future 'planning' for bushfire prevention and cure... there is an overlap in funding etc.... somewhere along the way someone has to take full responsibility, and planning should take in all relevant action bodies and funding providers.

we have many emergencies in this country  and some how they are always badly managed.....because we farm stuff out to tin pot local councils  and expect them suddenly supply an army to fight a flood or a fire....or mud slide   you name it... Angry Angry

thats not even mentioning all the little Emperors.in each State   looking after his own patch... Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

2 Commando Regt now do the CT work in Oz, cods - SAS is supposed to concentrate on its strategic area of responsibility - at least that's the theory which I objected to at the time given the need for constant readiness which CT can provide, and which has applications in house-snatching etc and in CQ combat - something not much evident in Afghanistan etc, where they do the snatch operations while the Commandos and grunt troops do the hard patrolling at less pay.. (and the pay is exactly the same)...

Who cares who wins.... the Brits like to call themselves Short And Stupid....

As one senior officer said - there seems to be more of a focus on being men with beards and sideburns than on the job of operating a genuine hearts and minds op.

Judging by your post I'm sure a lot of 'snorting' goes on at Liberal Party HQ, doesn't it juliar?
