Send Donations to Capitol Hill
Feb 2nd, 2020 at 9:07am

Those poor Politicians and all their Escorts in the ACT are under fire from their lack of preventative action.

Remember, in the 1800's the Temperatures reached higher around the country and with 80% more Forest and Bushland - there was never any 'Wild Fires' due to the excellent Aboriginal Fire Management Board of the time.

So please send you Donations to those poor little Hobbits hiding under that grassy hill known as Bag End.

Stop generalising - temperature and drought are two totally separate things.... and any Aboriginal lighting a fire would have burnt the joint to the ground... same as anyone else.  Besides - there weren't enough Aboriginals doing enough 'traditional burnbacks' to make any significant difference...

You attempt to make it sound as if they burnt off massive swathes every year etc... whereas they lit a small fire and covered a small patch each time, like any hunter-gatherer intent on slash and burn and the chance to come back the next year or so in their meanderings in order to maybe catch a few grass eaters on the green patch.

Many tribal groups had a 'traditional path' along which they traveled between 'winter quarters' and 'summer quarters' - all they did was burn patches along the way so as to have green growth the next Spring etc...

So cut it with the bullshit... there was NO large scale 'land management'... and your constant harping on myth and some amazing assumption that an Aboriginal lighting a fire wouldn't equally get out of control under the conditions that have prevailed for many months now is doing nothing for the Bruvvers....

If caught for arson are they going to claim 'traditional burnoff'?

Labor left the surplus in a mess, sold the fire trucks and put arsenic in the water.  You can't stop the boats and the bush fire, that's just stupidity.

Not again.....🤪

All these aborigine threads remind me of that beach boys song....Wouldn't it be nice. 🤣🤣🤣
They called their stories the dreamtime. So dreaming up this crap is okay....but don't expect it to be anymore than a dream.
I've come to the conclusion that perhaps there is some kind of "hindsight personality disorder" effecting some Australians. It is very strange indeed.

Meanwhile in reality, water is being drained from the land at a staggering rate....and no-one seems to be taking notice. To worried about a sick chinamen running into their loungroom coughing its ring up.
Half of Australia's habitable land has been burnt.....AND IS NOW REGROWING.....Who'd of thought.
Fires are still blazing hard core....don't see the elder abo and his warriors out the front leading the way to fight it, however abos are being paid 60b a year to shut the fkkk up and keep dreaming up more fake histories.
And tomorrow is Monday 3rd of Feb 2020. The majority of the abo population in this country will not be going to work....unlike the whiter, yellower, reder, similar shaders, population that does....and pays the taxes that go towards the 60b "shut the fkkk up fund.

So take part of ya 60b and......🤣🤣🤣

Phew - the clock struck the correct hour once... that must be proof positive of the whole idea, eh?  Have you heard of the exception that proves the rule?  One sparrow fart a fire break maketh not...

How many backburns and emergency burnoffs by the RFS etc have saved how many homes?  How many THOUSANDS - yet you cite one 'saved' by an Aboriginal burnoff...   Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Gt off that stuff.. it'll rot your brain..

Capt Caveman..."don't see the elder abo and his warriors out the front leading the way to fight it".

The poor guy just has 1 home to burn-off. So he did. And I gave 1 example to answer CC.  Do I have your consent for that?

On the water thing, apart from the Sydney desal unit which is basically pissing in the wind, there has been no additional water capacity added for Sydney for the last 30 years yet the population has doubled.
And now there's a campaign to dob in a water waster. WOW!

If they spend money on more water, it will just be used up by the new hospitals and NSW Housing occupants. No point in doing it particularly if it gets hotter and drier , waste of time.

An expansion of the Sydney desal plant is being fast tracked to double it's capacity. The water is needed but I reckon it's a no sum game as immigration will equal the extra capacity.

Why are we pumping people into Sydney if we don't have the water capacity?

One word - insanity.  When the CoronaVirus strikes big - the major centres will cop it...

As for any 'epicentres' and 'contagion' - those are secondary..

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/13/science/virosphere-evolution.html

https://listverse.com/2016/12/15/10-diseases-that-possibly-came-from-outer-space...

According to Fred Hoyle and N.C. Wickramamsinghe in Diseases From Space - the best spot is somewhere well aired, and avoid going out in unsettled conditions following rain etc... that is the time when infalling pathogens come to earth, and thus are more likely to infect...

It's a fair bet that, like the Spanish flu that infected isolated snowbound communities at the same rate as crowded cities... this is an infalling pathogen... and thus will not be limited to China... though it may well be that the quality of air, which has weakened lung tissue and possibly reduced bodily defence systems, could contribute to quick and large-scale infection... after our bushfires....

Well Gordo. That's a good statement and it sums up Australia's  Political Progression for the last century.
Buy now - pay double later.

Yes - now why would you stuff more people into a City when the Resources can't sustain it?
Answer: Who cares! Grab the money now and run! The next generation will figure it out.

Don't know what Ol' Grapps is harping on about.
The Stats are there and it takes a good 5 years or more for 'Fuel' to build up to the level to sustain a Wild Fire like we see now. The Boongs never had to do the same spot yearly (like Grapps says Roll Eyes Tongue Cheesy).

Politics is always in fear of the Yellow Man and ignorant of the Black Man.  Grin
But with the PM serving the USA and the G-G serving the UK, it's the Common People of this Country that are the true 'LEADERS' of today.

Today, I cleaned a beach: 60 bags of Ash/leaves.
Don't expect the Council or the Government to use initiative like this. Just so any 'possible' Tourists can enjoy.

Don't expect Politics to understand, cope and benefit from Aboriginal Knowledge and Culture... too busy worrying about the Chinese Economy and USA's War on Terrorism.

More and more Australians are getting fed up with a Political system that only raves on about how good it is under the 'Support' system of the USA/UK.
Couldn't run this country of its own accord if it tried.
Hence why countless of 'Republic' efforts have been nothing but hot air blown by Celebrities just trying to float their own boats.

I'm waiting until I am sitting in a club somewhere and cough a little - and I'll say:-

"Damn!  That's the last trip I take to China!!"
