Not only was the Royal Navy an organised crime gang, capturing gay young men by press-gangs, but it entered Spanish lands.

Purpose      To divide trading and colonising rights for all newly discovered lands of the world  to the exclusion of other European nations.
The Treaty of Tordesillas  Spanish: Tratado de Tordesillas
divided the newly discovered lands outside Europe between Spain and Portugal.  The anti-meridian line was west of New Guinea.
