He's also forgetting about the Transcript.
KangaNong is like the Democrats - They keep bring up conspiracy theories about what happened
But keep forgetting that the FACTS are already there for everyone to read.
They didn't think Trump would release the Transcripts - He did.
He released an edited call summary from recollection of others on the call. There was no stenographer and it's not a transcript. It even says that in the actual document:
Quote:CAUTION: A Memorandum of a Telephone Conversation.· (TELCON) is not a verbatim transcript of a discussion. The text in this document records the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty Officers and-NSC policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place. A number of factors can affect 'the accuracy of the record, including poor telecommunications connections and variations in accent and/or interpretation. The word "inaudible" is used to indicate portions of a conversation that the notetaker was unable to hear.
And we know from
testimony given to the impeachment enquiry so far that there were specific mentions of Joe Biden discussing Ukraine corruption, and an explicit mention by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of Burisma Holdings, the energy company whose board employed Mr. Biden’s son Hunter in the call. But in the call summary you speak of, Burisma and the Bidens (to the extent they were mentioned in the actual call) that was left out.
Who is lying now?
Hint: It's you jackass...There is a recording of the call and the actual full transcript but they were hidden on the classified server to try and cover up this whole mess.
It's like Barr's summary of the Mueller report all over again, a fabrication to protect Trump.
Quote:But regardless they are still going ahead with "Peach Mint"
It is what the evidence supports.
Quote:Once it goes to the Senate they'll have a real trial, and bring in real witnesses, and they will be cross examined by Trumps Legal Team and the Senate Judiciary committee who will rip them to shreds on National TV.
They'll get that opportunity with the Public Hearings and the Republican members of the House and relevant committees will have the chance to cross-examine, you won't have to wait that long.
Quote:and all the DNC corruption will be there to see.
every time the Democrats ask a question - just refer them to the
Transcript.
*Edited call summary, but let's attempt that anyway:
Quote:House Impeachment Enquiry Member: "Did President Trump solicit help from the Ukrainian President on his phone call to investigate Biden for his own political gain?"
Witness: "Refer to the 'transcript'"
House Impeachment Enquiry Member: "You mean the call summary, the one where Trump is found to have solicited a thing of value from foreign national that was not for the sake of the country but his own personal gain against a political rival and instead of using official diplomatic channels or the mutual legal assistance treaty he used his personal lawyer who has said he was only acting in his clients interests who formed a second clandestine shadow foreign policy team he led constituting a breach of Campaign Finance Laws and an abuse of power by the President which is exactly what the impeachment process was included to help stop?"
Witness: "Wait..."
We know from Barr that he didn't get involved, it was just Giuliani.
And that doesn't even take into account the quid pro quo that turns this into a bribery case given what we know from other evidence given so far.
You're playing a losing hand, and you're not even being smart about it.
The Republicans need to decide what they're going to do and fast.
Right now things are looking so bad for Trump they should be putting forward candidates to Primary. Pence can't win on his own and if the Republicans can't find someone better in a post-Trump landscape they're going to need to play a game of mitigation so they don't lose so badly in the Senate. More of their seats are up for re-election than the Dems, they have more to lose.
We know they won't be able to convince Trump to retire, even if McConnell tells Trump he has the 20 Republicans needed in the Senate to vote him out, so no matter what they do Trump will keep firing at them from Twitter.
I think their best option left is to start supporting the process now that they really have no angle left to attack it anyway, let the evidence come out and if it's as bad as it seems, follow through with the process, drop Trump and try to mitigate their losses and hold onto as much of the Senate as possible while still losing the election, and let the first term of the next Democratic President be a failure because they have the power to continue being their usual obstructionist selves in the Senate.
If they lose the election and the Senate, that's the worst-case scenario and unless the Republicans, ALL of them, start singing from the same song sheet, this outcome is becoming more and more likely.
