On Friday, business records revealed that Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was still listed as a board member for the Chinese private equity firm even though he announced last month that he was leaving the position by the end of October.
The former Vice President's son's status said he was an active director: "Hunter Biden was listed as an active director of BHR Partners in the firm’s file on China’s National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System when accessed on Nov. 1 by the DCNF. The most recent change to the firm occurred on Sept. 18, according to BHR’s business records," the Daily Caller reports.
“Yes, Hunter has resigned from the board,” George Mesires, Hunter Biden's lawyer said in a statement.
The Daily Caller continues:
It’s possible that Chinese business records don’t yet reflect Hunter Biden’s resignation from the BHR board due to a processing delay, but Mesires did not provide evidence of Hunter Biden’s departure, despite the DCNF’s repeated requests for a copy of his resignation letter to BHR or even a departure date.
Mesires also did not provide an explanation as to why he didn’t provide such information.
Mesires issued a statement in October that Hunter Biden would resign from BHR’s board “on or by October 31, 2019.”
Back in October, a report revealed that Hunter Biden allegedly received over $700,000 in payments from a capital management firm, Rosemont Seneca Bohai which just so happens to be close partners with a Chinese Investment Firm that has close ties to the Bank of China.
The $700,000 that Biden received came from a capital management company based in New York that had 20% equity in a Chinese investment firm.
The bombshell report also gave deeper insight into how this all relates back to Hunter Biden's business in Ukraine. Check out what the Daily Caller reported:
And despite the deluge of media reports saying Hunter Biden received $50,000 a month for his work on the board of the Ukranian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, the records tell a much different story.
Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, did not receive any compensation directly from Burisma, according to available records. The oft-cited $50,000 a month figure is actually based on payments he received from a New York-based company called Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which was owned and controlled by his longtime business partner, Devon Archer.
Rosemont Seneca Bohai’s Morgan Stanley bank records are publicly available because they were submitted in an unrelated criminal case that involved Archer and an alleged scheme to defraud millions from an American Indian tribe. Archer was found guilty in the case in 2018, but his conviction was later overturned.
The bank records show that in each month between June 2014 and October 2015, Rosemont Seneca Bohai wired between $10,000 and $150,979 to Hunter Biden for undisclosed purposes. In total, Hunter Biden received $708,302 from Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which was under Archer’s care at all times.
