Trump really upsets the lefty intellectual types
One has to realise that people in the media
People in the universities
School headmasters
Various civil servants
People in Hollywood
These sorts of people have a fairly high opinion of their intellect
Often this is based on their own narcissism
Often it's totally baseless
Some of these people are in an intellectual way quite intelligent
and we have to recognise that people are always competing to climb to the top of a dominance hierarchy
Even on this forum it's just people butting heads trying to move up the dominance hierarchy
That's just how humans are
The problem for the lefty intellectual types
is it often they haven't really achieved a lot of success in life
They have this whirlwind of emotions in their brain
Swirling unfocused discontent
It's like Descartes life of quiet desperation
And then they look at a guy like trump
Now trump is a bit of a weird guy
He speaks to people at the level of a 4th grade student
He doesn't filter himself at all
He's a bit of a loudmouth
He's a bit uncouth.
he is what we would call in Australia a bit of a yobbo
And the rather proud and narcissistic lefty looks at trump and says to himself in a narcissistic way
how the hell did this oaf climb to the top
Of the dominance hierarchy
the leftye intellectual is suddenly confronted with the the fact that his life is not going as well as he narcissistically believes it should be
The inner demons in his brain say if a yobbo like this can get to the White House then why am I still chugging away in a meaningless and mediocre job.
It's just too painful to examine all the ways in which he has stuffed up
And so he projects his own failure and shortcomings into a hatred of someone who has climbed the dominance hierarchy better than him
that's something he should reflect on for about 5 years
But he won't of course
