They are - but you have raised an important situation that even Gandalf & FreeDiver should take note.
That there is a 'Line______' drawn between the two major and dominant 'Factors' of the Middle-East:
Military
&
Religion.

Both are different from each other like Politics and Art are or   Land Farming and Aviation.
In South America - remember that both Military and Religion are in REVERSE roles.

In the Middle-East. Religion is primarily for the Poor 'Breeders' and Military is for the sexually dysfunctional 'Power' mongers.

So the Moslem - while using a Religion (Just a written document stating rules and regulations, blah, blah  ) that enforces 'mass breeding' more so than Christianity and especially Judaism. But they also play the Military Card with their Great Islamic Empire (and it is 'great' because it has taught 'Western' culture a lot over the centuries).

...but something has to give.
I believe that the Moslem will put down the Military 'Gun' and keep holding the Religious 'Book'.
But the Jew will do the reverse - even now the Jews are 'evolving' into into a more 'Military' Factor via their Nation of Israel (soon it will be an 'Empire') and thus they will 'drop the Book' instead. While the once Great Islamic Empire is slowly fizzing away, with Terrorism it's last vapors of military engagement (All this in the 'Northern' Hemisphere  ) - it will soon 'drop the Gun' (After the French 'sacrifice' of its Christianity ...Notre Damn is a start).

So those pictures of the first page would probably be 'Jewish' kids in the future when Israel is the World's Greatest Military power and displaced Moslems wander around like Librarians teaching people 'to make more love - humpy pumpy like'.
