Yes - he did a lot for 'his' people.

"His" - How. Both Shona and Nbele? not likely.

If Mugabe was so good why is the country starving? They had the seed.

Like I said in the other Topic.
Mugabe had the right idea, but being a Politician/Military - the wrong way to go about it because Politics (and Military) DO NOT benefit Africa (unless in the hands of Women).

Zimbabwe was a 'Farming' Nation with two major Tribes: Shona & Nbele.
In roles Rhodes, his Colonists and his Politics/Military and 'took' by force the Lands from the Zimbawean Farmers and gave them to the White Colonists.

So when Mugabe rises through Politics (Military) - he gets far into ousting the British Domination, but was always restricted in the fact that he was 'playing their game' and thus could be 'dirtied' by it - which the British Media did.

It would have been better if the Farmers just 'ploughed' through the entire British occupation. But no - Mugabe was a BRITISH invention that 'turned' on behalf of his own people against his British 'rulers'.

Mugabe was the one that got away.
But you all do what your Media says and hate him for it.

...so too will it be here in Australia: Muad'dib  Wink

Nah - just someone who actually talks to Zimbabweans, had a Shona girlfriend and more.
Someone who knows that the Zimbabwe of today is what 'Politics' (wether it is black or white) has made of it:  A RUIN.

Rhodes took the lands by force.
Mugabe took them back in the same way.

2-1 for Mugabe.
That's as much 'apology' I do give him at least.

Maybe one day - Zimbabwe will return to its better 'Farming' days and show the world (especially the Australian Whitey Farmers) how its really done.

Until then - it is still suffering the same Political disease that the British infected it with.  Tongue

Poor petal. It is somebody of the same language.  One talk = wantok. From PNG. Wink

So the Shona are the one tribe.

"New documents have come to light that implicate Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe in mass killings of Ndebele people in western Zimbabwe in January 1983.

Thousands of recently declassified documents that appear to expose the perpetrators are now becoming available in a raft of foreign archival collections. The documents are wide-ranging and include, among others, diplomatic correspondence, intelligence assessments and raw intelligence garnered by spies recruited from within the Zimbabwean government. These papers — augmented by the testimony of Zimbabwean witnesses finding courage in old age — appear to substantiate what survivors and scholars have always suspected but never been able to validate: Mugabe, then prime minister, was the prime architect of killings that were well-planned and systematically executed."

So the British Political/Military input into Zimbabwe have given it Rhodes and his White Colonists taking the lands, then raising Mugabe to be a great Politician on 'their behalf' only to find themselves showing on TV what an evil dictator Muhgabe is for taking the lands back off the British and letting British Loyalists go without.

Now we see it causing a possible 'Civil War'  Sad between the two Peoples of Zimbabwe.

This is what the 'British' have done for Zimbabwe.  Angry
They have 'ruined' it!

Just because Europeans were sucking Middle-Eastern Nob-Donga 'Religion' in what they called the act as 'Christianity' and killing each other over it. Even the Vikings turned and were conquered by it.
Didn't have to go infect a people who just went about their business Farming the lands and Herding the beasts in the Garden of Eden known as Africa.

Yep, he did a lot of good for his country.

Destroyed it's farming industry by getting rid of white farmers and putting primitive in their place

The farms are shot, people are starving.

Great job

He will make a great companion in HELL  with howard the coward.

Re: Robert Mugabe dies aged 95
Reply #2 - Today at 5:25pmQuote Modify The Great Mugabe who used force to reclaim lands to both his 'Farming' peoples (Shona & Nbele), which were taken 'by force' by the brutal
RHODES
regime and Dictatorship. Rhodes also used deceit, lies and propaganda (
"They are nothing more than primitive Hunter-Gatherer people."
) Rhodes did all this for both Britain and himself. Giving the 'stolen' lands to fellow White 'Colonisers' in an effort to 'out populate' the locals Shona & Nbele and displace them elsewhere.

Little wonder that Britain worked up Sanctions to seige Mugabe's 'Liberated' Zimbabwe and while all of Mugabe's Loyalists and Fans were fed barely. Britain's loyalists and supporters were left to starve. But British Propaganda (Media) always painted a story that it was Mugabe's people starving. Sure, they were hungry - what could he do when the British got support to Sanction his country?  Huh But 'his' supporters fared better than the British ones left on the outskirts and unsupported by Britain.

Mugabe may not have pleased anyone with his 'forceful' methods - but he was there to do one thing and that was to bite Britain in the arse for its corrupt 'Dictatorship' and 'Occupation' of Zimbabwe.

We all know Western Propaganda!  Roll Eyes Yep - South African Apartheid: Where 'Boers' were made out to be 'Racists' against 'All Blacks'. In reality, the Boers had many Xhosian tribes (Zulu were an independent 'anti-British' tribe) on their side and were getting an upper hand on the British and their 'paid for' Coloureds (first choice) and 'Blacks' (which is what the British called them. Boers called each tribe by its proper name - not a 'colour'). Then the British had to call on Australians and New Zealanders to help them.

The Boers were 'Farmers' who never took occupied tribal lands. They were not Military, not Political. That was Britain's expertise as it used it to turn the country into a hell hole for ages until recently when even Britain slyly used Mandela as its scapegoat to say that the original Boers would have enslaved him (like he was via a 'Politically' created nation via Britain) - when in truth they would not have.

[edit]
Mugabe was a Great Man.
I know. I've slept with one of his hot female Colonels.  Cheesy

You've proven beyond reasonable doubt that you're 6 sausages short of a BBQ.

Mugabe was a murdering criminal corrupt tyrant bastard .... in the same mold as Idi Amin.

Mugabe kicked British arse and its Dictator out of Zimbabwe and 'took' the Shona & Nbele lands back from the 'Colonists' planted there by the British.

Zimbabwe is a Great Example of the Evil side of the British.
USA is just as bad feeding foriegn Dictators to ruin their own countries.

Grin Grin He didn't kick anyones arse ... the country was given back ... he hid behind his drug crazed military henchmen he called Freedom Fighters.

And when they murdered butchered & raped the white farmers to take back the land ... Zimbabwe starved ....

What was once the salad bowl/food basket of southern Africa turned to weeds ....

the Shona & Nbele couldn't farm shyte.

You'd make a better farmer than them .... farming bullshyte.

You all don't know ****.  Grin Roll Eyes

Maybe its your bruised 'whitey' egos - that Blacks make better 'Farmers' than you.  Grin
They 'Farmed' with 'Wild-life' abound.
But you Whiteys are fragile eggshells and have to destroy 'everything' just to get a start.

Just like the USA Economy - can't compete fairly, so destroy the competition. Lucky Australia didn't sell GrainCorp eh Wink
After 3 years - gone!  Tongue

As for Mugabe/Idi Amin - remember Whitey, 'those Blacks' are 'YOUR' Political responsibility and consequence - because you took your 'Politics' to their countries and look what it has done.  Roll Eyes

Mugabe's only flaw was that he was a Politician - just like a Whitey.  Cheesy No wonder he did it the 'way' he did it - just like Rhodes taught them too.  Tongue Grin Grin Grin Grin

Shona/Nbele before Rhodes were a 'Great' Farming peoples and as for the Boers of South Africa - well, they seem to be having all the best Farming Jobs in Australia because they learned from the best; the African peoples, before the British arrived with their Politics to 'destroy' everything to suit themselves.  Roll Eyes
