If you are Trans and you want to be acknowledged as a particular gender, that's fine. When you fill out a form and you want to tick the box that you feel is your gender go right ahead. That is your right and more power to you.

That being said Raven does not think you should be able to retroactively change something like your birth certificate. That was your gender at birth, you did not identify as a male or a female as a new born. Accurate records are important and as much as Susan loves who she is now she was still born Gary.

Raven was born in the 80's now imagine he decided that "well actually Raven feels like he's more a child of the 60's so he'd like to amend his birth certificate to reflect that. Oh look at that Raven has reached his preservation age so He'll take his super and put him down for the age pension too."

A birth certificate is one document that should not be altered in any way.
