Why are we baring our arses to China?

Or are we happy to end up like the doomed citizens of Hong Kong by worshiping the God of trade above all else?

Its an addiction to Chinese money and a basic principle that it is better to be in cordial relationships with other countries than in conflict.

China is reacting to growing animosity from Australia by diversifying its resource supply chains to Africa and South America while also improving its relationship and trade with Russia.

If Australia loved the Hong Kong people so much they would offer political asylum to all 7.4 million Hong Kong Chinese.

Fat chance!

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.

Is that the 'growing animosity' which involves Australia establishing armed bases closer and closer to China at every chance?  Or the Australia that is persecuting Chinese citizens in New Zealand or Tasmania?  Or the Australia following the same expansionist policies as Japan did in the 1920's-30's that had such beneficial results for the world?

Obviously those Pacific Island nations so keen on Chinese dollars had no connection with the natives who were murdered and enslaved en masse by the Japanese... kinda like the West Papuans under the Indonesians, eh?  Funny thing - after a few months of Japanese occupation, the natives took great glee in beheading any Jap they caught .... sorry 'bout that......
