Frank,
Choices have consequences.
We know that is true, but whenever it is 'convenient' to us, we like to deny it.
In the last several decades in Western societies, our children have been schooled [conditioned] [by 'social engineering' 'experts'], that, in order to create a more harmonious AND PEACEFUL society, we must, individually,
ignore all extraneous evil and wrongdoing around us,
unless it affects us directly, and even if it does, we have been taught, that
even abominable and unjust behaviour in others is best to be tolerated, for the sake of social harmony in our vicinity.
That, is how peace and social harmony [around us] is created - we are told.
In so doing, imo, such societal engineering 'projects',
are destroying our primary and historic societal values, and it is indeed, also, DESTROYING
THE PEACE OF OUR SOCIETY,
and thereby [slowly] undermining and destroying the authority of the foundational institutions in our societies.
All in the name of 'tolerance' for the other, ...no matter how appalling and abominable, the behaviour of 'other' may be. !!!!
It is all very WOKE. /sarc off

Isaiah 3:1
For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts,
doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
Isaiah 3:4
And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
8
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
10
Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
12
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
"The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people."
We, are abhorred by our God, ...and we bring HIS judgment down, upon ourselves.
Because we hated God, and we hated his ways.
Deuteronomy 32:19
And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
Isaiah 1:2
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Jeremiah 4:22
For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
We won't change our ways.
And we don't apologise, and we are not sorry, for our ways.
Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
