My Itech one came with 10AWG leads but I wanted others made.

I suggest he contact the vendor and ask the question.

Get one with sealed lead acid batteries and it will start anything and last for ever and like a car battery can be recharged countless times without losing capacity.

Lithium batteries steadily die with each recharge.

One I have is a Booster Pac  ES5000  12v 1500 peak amps. I have had it for years. recharge with a small trickle charger. A bit heavy but a goody.

Maxwell super capacitors used to start a car ! Still going strong after 3 years ! This is the same technology acquired by Tesla Wink

So why would EV's need a supercap?

They don't.

They need a tow to the junk yard.

it is hilarious when a dangerous unsafe Tesla toy car gets a flat battery - the useless pile of junk is paralyzed.

because capacitors are much more efficient than batteries at storing or supplying energy so they are ideal for huge current dumps such as acceleration and regeneration. Tesla will most likely use them as a buffer between the motor/generator and batteries Wink

Yes they are. But you need a lot more of them as they are typically 2.7volt and low amperage.

Yeh low "amperage" that can turnover a V8 engine Cheesy LOL

Only an LNP supporter could not envisage the use of those super caps in an electric car Cheesy LOL

That's why you need a lot of the petal. In series for about 16 volt and in parallel to provide the amperage. Wink

You really should do some reading before you make an even bigger fool of yourself.

lastnail,

That YT was interesting, that guy, replacing a L/A vehicle battery, with a bank of capacitors.

Sufficient power available to start the vehicle engine.

Nice.

Just wondering, is there any danger of those capacitors overheating, being confined within that small container ?

Would some ventilation be useful ?

i went to his user channel.....

https://www.youtube.com/user/catrinisin/videos                  no update Sad(((

Wow. Where did they find a battery for $12? The local swap meet?
