Factory Seconds 'devalue' the word NEW like a blemish, a scratch, a faulty ability even.

New is unblemished, etc.
When a person buys a 'New' Car, it has to be presented as 'New'. If it is not 'New' - it is not 'presented' as New to the would be owner. It is 'removed' and 'replaced' by something 'New'.
If I presented a once new Car that has been scratched, blemished and anything else that would fail to be accepted by the would be owner as new and try to pass it off as a Factory Second, it obviously fails to be new anymore.
IT IS SECOND HAND like all other second hand things in the world regardless of 'how' they became second hand.

I think your concept Mimo-Smith Chips, is somewhat archaic and old world.

It's quite common. The goods are new but not perfect.

Tell that to a smart consumer and you'll never make that big sell.

Why? The info is in the description. Factory seconds is not a new thing. You want pristine? Factory firsts, pay a premium, don't mind some kind visual flaw, factory seconds can be a good deal. They are still  new.
Factory second
Should I buy them

Do you buy 'new' foods that are past their 'used by date'?
I mean - doesn't mean they have become 'un-consumerable' either as they are sold as well.

As usual, Dapto, you prove to be the dope.

eBay search filter set to new. Bold large text was New in Samsung Box
I posted the fine print and was pointing that out.

Now get back on the grappa, you drunk wog.

Now now Gordo.
This is where you are wrong.

You do understand much of Italy was Greek before Rome became more than a collection of huts? Magna Grecia. Just sayin'.

There is no need to use these derogatory terms. However when I was young Italians were often referred to as Wogs, Wops or Daygo's. It was a horrible nasty insulting thing to call people. Greeks were mostly called Spicks, just as bad. The Greeks make good Pizza but not better than the Italians.

What pissed me off is the eBay listing had huge font for new in box and the factory second bit was at the bottom of the ad in tiny font. Lucky I checked.

You must be one of those 'American' or 'Americanised' Colonial Australians just like you get those British or Britished Convict Australians here??  Huh
They are all really 'Americanised' sledge names.

We call the people from Nippon as 'Nips' which they love, unlike being called a 'Jap' (Japanese) which they hate (unless you pay em to say otherwise for the 'camera' like a Propaganda clip from NK).
We give them a nick-name which is of their own creation.
Hence why Coons for what you call Aboriginal (not a Coon word). Koori, Boong and Pitjat are also 'respectful' nicknames of their own creation.

The word N%$##er for someone who comes from two West African nations 'igeria & 'iger, which is ironically banned from this Forum.  Roll Eyes I know a local Zimbabwean living here and is honoured that I call him a Bantu. Hell, I even picked him as a Shona. The word Kaffer is a justified respectful nickname for a people from the region of Khafferia - famous for the thing known as Caffeine.

So it's not the 'word' - its the way that it is used. Don't ban the word, for it is also a word of praise and respect. Just ban the tone and use of the word in a negative aspect.

POM: Is it a word of affection or a word of hate??

Bazza you are just avoiding the question.

Just think how atrociously bad things would be by now if Shorty had gotten in!!!!  The GG would be dusting the Whitlam dismissal papers off in preparation to dismiss Shorty.

typically, but not always, the warranty is the same as with a firsts. The faults are purely cosmetic. A dent, a scratch or a blemish as a result of manufacturing or transport. I've even once saw a factory second where it was only the packaging that was damaged.
If it's crook you do what you do with firsts that are under warranty.
