I'm pretty sure everyone would agree a retard kid with a plastic drink bottle already thrown and no longer armed, even if the vigilante had the right retard kid, is not the same as an allahu akbah with a knife in his hand.

Don't start thinking you and this other lawyer have anything in common but your uni degree and practice, or not.

What retard kid? It was no retard and no kid.  What plastic bottle?  It was glass.  You been reading the sewer crap?

Point is, I agree with Peccerry.  Why did that bloke make himself a national headline?

As far as I've seen in schools in the last 20 years they do not sell glass drink containers. There are very few drinks even sold in glass. As you would know I have asked about this since you posted about the damage to your car. You refused to answer openly or via PM.

You mean why did he do what he did? That's what made him a national headline. Or perhaps you mean why did he do it on Sunrise? No idea, his choice, I doubt he was thinking about Sunrise when doing what he did. That you two are trying to diminish his actions/motive by his choice of media says more about you.

Don't pull that poo on me Set.

Your lie says an awful lot about you.

You are beneath contempt.

Me? I haven't questioned what he did, I applaud him, there are far too many people whose flight response is greater than their fight. I haven't questioned his choice of media. It's just probably weight of odds that one media outlet would get access over others. I doubt he thought it a political statement.

Not that I particularly care what you think, as you'd know, but I'm curious. Why am I beneath contempt for my comments?

So do I.

I kinda gave it away when I said:

I hope you're acting this stupid, because if you're not, it's a real worry.

As if it makes much difference to what media he spoke to. If you read my responses it was to the fact the particular media he spoke to was the problem, or questionable in your eyes. I'm still curious as to why pointing that out makes me below contempt.

You said I was "trying to diminish his actions/motive".

I wasn't, and that's obvious to anyone reading this thread.

You used to be a decent guy, Set.

I don't know what happened to you, but I don't like it.

Now you're no better than the likes of The Mechanic, Valkie, et al.

I won't be replying to you any further in this thread, just so you know.

It starts here Setanta.

It was never about his choice of Media......or diminishing what he did.  It was that he even allowed himself to be commercialised by the media.

Some more parrots just dropped dead off trees.

I still am, always have been. Actions/motive is a choice. You and Aussie are having a go at him for his motive it seems now in speaking to Sunrise. I don't watch it for reasons you are probably well aware and one of the reasons I don't do TV anymore, but it is popular. It's understandable that he would.

I'm still curious as to why I'm beneath contempt. That's a pretty harsh judgement! Undecided

If anyone bothered to watch his interview, he said he was being hounded and perused by media and wanted to tell his story on his own terms.

At least this lawyer pinned something worthwhile but how dare him talk to Sunrise...

Yup, if a special needs kids is ever rampaging through the streets of Sydney with a half full bottle of creaming soda, I'll get Aussie on the hotline.

The Sunrise interview was short, to the point and it's really obvious he wanted to throw the media their bone and move on.

I'm guessing he chose Sunrise as the Today studio is around the corner from his office.  Shocked

Is Aussie suggesting he is a hero for pinning a kid to a tree?

I haven't seen it obviously, I don't do TV, but I wonder if Aussie and Gregg watched it. Do you have a youtube or other link?

I don't watch TV, just watched it online now. BTW his office is 5 mins walk to the Sunrise studio, so he obviously chose it for that reason.

I had the impression he was just sharing with us as a bit of PTSD therapy.

I mean, a half full bottle of creaming soda hurled by a child would make a barrage of
Katyusha rockets seem like nothing.

In the photo of Mr Bamford confronting the knifeman, I see a tree on the left. Do you think it is large enough for Aussie to have pinned him to it?

The trees on that street are not big, I doubt they'd withstand the force applied by a not small right hand. I Aussie was on the scene, would have he shouted WHICH TERRORIST?

Just watched that, not blowing his own trumpet at all. Pretty much "I'm doing this to get you lot off my back, I did what I thought I should do."  We need more people with a less developed flight response like him.
