If you say it quickly....
....its OK to say; "I'm a proud moslem. I'm a follower of ISLAM."
....its OK to say;
"I'm a proud moslem. And i'm a person who lives within a proud and vibrant community."Its OK for the follower of ISLAM
to say those things - in our society.
And we 'make it OK', for a follower of ISLAM, to associate, everything that he is, with ISLAM....
Just so long as it is ONLY the follower of ISLAM who is permitted to control the [public] perception of what ISLAM is.
"ISLAM ES PAZ"IMAGE.....
Just so long as no one is allowed to scrutinise and to publicly and openly criticise the precepts of ISLAM.
'.....Just like in muslim countries.'
But, if open scrutiny and open criticism of the precepts of ISLAM is permitted....
....ISLAM is easily recognised, as an unjust and cruel, and violent philosophy.
And, as a morally indefensible philosophy.
Everything depends [in an open society], upon the right of those who observe ISLAM,
to be permitted to scrutinise and openly criticise the precepts of ISLAM.
QUESTION;In an open society, should we, anyone, be permitted to openly and publicly express an opinion or an argument [without fear of being
falsely denigrated] ?
I guess that answer to that question, depends upon what we believe, fundamentally.
