FD is away and I see no other way to stop some of the forum/member abuse recently. If you use these services, I'm sorry but for the time being you'll have to access the site more conventionally.

What about private proxies, usually run by the same people that provide VPN services, but at a very low cost?

To be honest, can't realistically stop them unless the proxy adds proxy info to the request header. If you pay for it, be my guest, like VPN, I won't even attempt it. The tor blocking will stop tor which was was being used. All in all it's an exercise in futility if people really want to sock up from a different IP, they will.
