I agree, there is a good discussion in that and I am sympathetic to both views, but none exist in isolation and it has nothing to do with the assertion that the US cannot be trusted with nukes. Americans nuked japan wahhhhhhh is a juvenile understanding.

I agree, there is a good discussion in that and I am sympathetic to both views, but none exist in isolation and it has nothing to do with the assertion that the US cannot be trusted with nukes. Americans nuked japan wahhhhhhh is a juvenile understanding.

Treue but simply stating it needed to be done, saved millions of US soldiers and was the only alternative is just as juvenile.

Essentially it comes down to leadership, and thats where my lack of trust comes from. Yes Iran,North Korea don't fill me with trust, but seriously neither does the US at the moment.
