I'm glad you use the phrase the canberra bubble, To me its the equivalent of fake news. Its a phrase chucked out to get away from actually examining issues, answering questions, responding to criticism.

President Trump is donating his paycheck to the National Park Service. The stated mission of the National Park Service, according to its website, is to " [preserve] unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.".

Could you imagine any of our Prime Ministers doing that in the future? Our politicians vote for their own pay rises and then rob us taxpayers to finance their political campaigning. Trump paid for his own campaign expenses and is donating his Presidential salary, he's only taking what the law requires that he take, a dollar or thereabouts

Trump however can just be Trump Trump Trump Trump all day long
He can tweet like Trump he can look like Trump he can act like Trump he can be the authentic Trump
That is very very appealing to people who feel quite rightly that Washington is full of fakes and phonies

Strange. Prior to the erection you were telling us how important it is to have a moral exemplar in the White House. Yes, a president should go and play golf and let the government run itself. He should set the moral tone of the nation, and that's all.

You do realize that when you post you often project your own thoughts. In other words you are talking about yourself.

You think that if you were rich you would be admired and more secure Sad? Often it is the very reverse. The more you have the more vulnerable you are because you have more to lose.

Once as you (as Trump has) have reached the pinnacle according to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. That is self realization. There is nowhere to go - unless you have a sick obsession for more wealth. I think Trump reached that point and decided to do what he can to turn USS America around.
