This is delusional.

What you said does not make any sense. If you go down the basic side of things, the whole thing about FGM is about control. Control as in if I .. the authority can control your body by cutting you, 'marking' you at birth, then I get to keep your fertility under my control. Thats simply it. Its not purely about religion, its about control. Its something conjured up by mankind, carried out by mankind. FGM is about control and abuse.

HOWEVER, by recognizing and respecting the lawful practice of someone's faith, is the exact opposite of control and abuse. I encourage to at least read in to the 2013 UNCEF report on FGM before you make such an outrages statement.
