Wow!

A powerful union figure says Labor leader Anthony Albanese should consider resigning for accepting "false allegations" against controversial construction union leader John Setka.

Unions, plural, yes: most certainly.

I said from the very start that the Unions wouldn't accept Albo.

Out of touch past it Greggy trots out Labor slogans from 50 years ago.

Now there is a pitch battle between Union GOD Person Setka and that Commo Socialist Extremist Feminazi Sheila.

Will Albo be a battle casuality struck by a stray bullet ?

Is Shorty waiting in the wings in one of his scungy daggy crumpled blue soots that look like he sleeps in them ?

A powerful union figure says Labor leader Anthony Albanese should consider resigning for accepting "false allegations" against controversial construction union leader John Setka.

Mr Cain said: "Why didn't Mr Albanese pick the phone up and talk to John Setka direct"
Christy Cain, the national president of the Maritime Union, told the ABC suggestions Mr Setka had denigrated anti-domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty at a meeting of CFMEU officials last Wednesday were false.

Mr Cain, who is also WA secretary of the CFMEU, was one of 40-plus union officials who attended the meeting in Melbourne.

He said Mr Setka had used the private meeting to open up about his own "private affairs" and the well-publicised breakdown last year of his marriage with lawyer Emma Walters, with whom Mr Setka has since reconciled.

Mr Albanese has recommended the ALP national executive expel Mr Setka from the party for "unacceptable" comments.

But Mr Cain said the Labor leader should instead consider his own position.

"It is just rubbish what is being said in the press. I think that Mr Albanese should take a good look at himself," Mr Cain said.

"Why didn't Mr Albanese pick the phone up and talk to John Setka direct about what happened? Why didn't he talk to me, who was about five feet from John Setka and who was in the room? Ask Mr Albanese that.

"No, Mr Albanese's run-off false allegations. He has misconstrued what has gone in that room and he should apologise.

"Maybe Mr Albanese should resign, I don't know. He should take a good look at himself.

"Maybe he should get all the facts. He's jumped the gun and as far as I'm concerned, he hasn't got all the facts rights, in this case — especially in this case."

What horrific punishment has Setka planned for Albo ?

Will Mr Bean appear to save the day ?

ScoMo will have to tell GOD to lay off a bit as all that is left of the once insignificant Labor Party is a few smoldering smelly fragments on the bottom of the Labor bird cage.

I don't think they'll bring Shorten back.

Jason Clare and Brendan O'Connor are probably the Unions' first choice.

Albo won't last.

Just because he takes on a thug?  A grub?  An arsehole?  Nah.

Albo is the Labor 'PM' who has to wear what these pricks get up to.  Setka has to go.  I would never want that prick anywhere in my 'world.'  He can fuq off and not one thing will change...except there will be a new Secretary.

Frankly, I am tired of having to defend the close association between Unions and Labor while turds like Sekta have a say.

Setka's an arrogant arsehole, and Albo is a thoroughly decent & capable bloke.

However, the unions run the ALP.

Albo won't last.

I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Connor's name put forward in the not too distant future.

If that is true...it is time they ran a Union and not a Government.  Fuq them.  I am over Unions going beyond doing their very best for their Members.....................LEGALLY.

You're starting to sound like cods.

The ALP was created by the Unions, for the Unions.

Today, they still finance & control most of what goes on.

Without them, the ALP wouldn't exist.

Similarly, without big business and organised crime, the Liberal Party wouldn't exist.

It's just the way it is.

I think the Unions have too much control too, but it's never gonna change.

Albo has never been pro-Union, and the Unions have never been pro-Albo.

He was never gonna last as leader (I like him, though).

I'm not sure if the ALP has the balls to put O'Connor up, but I think they should.

If not him, then Jason Clare.

I don't need a history lesson Mr Peccerry.

I also have had enough of CMFEU thugs.  They can fuq off. They are dragging Labor down, and more power to Albo's elbow.

Come on....Setka or Labor politically?  Setka is not bigger than the wider ALP which includes people like me....never been a Union Member ever.

He can't win this fight.  How can he?  Albo is the Head of the ALP.  Setka is a thug.

Join the dots.

Lol   Grin

Albo isn't the head of the ALP.

He's just a puppet.

The Unions pull all the strings.

Albo will lose.

Nothing surer.

Albo won't be leader at the next election.

I predict the Unions will bring in O'Connor.

On Friday, The Age newspaper reported that Mr Setka had told a recent meeting of the union's national executive that the work of Ms Batty had led to men having few rights.

It has taken me until today to figure out what the story was with this man's comments. Setka seems to not be denying the allegations. But rather claiming that the comments were taken out of context.

Perhaps it will always be "too soon" for some men to comment on their rights.
