Chimpanzee meat being eaten in UK as border force urged to bring in DNA testing

Chimpanzee meat is being eaten at British weddings and sold as 'bush meat' on market stalls, it has emerged.

The border force is under pressure to introduce DNA testing to identify the meat at customs and has said it would be investing in new technology to tackle the rising issue.

Leading primate scientist Dr Ben Garrod has said he was told by customs officials just weeks ago that a ton of bush meat from West Africa had been confiscated on a flight bound for the US.

He said it was routinely smuggled into Europe and the UK - which could cause the spread of serious disease as the meat is unsanitary and chimpanzees are very genetically similar to humans

isnt that the most disgusting thing ever.....

what is going on on that continent half the time we are told millions are starving children are dying drinking polluted water... yet here they are exporting ape meat...........I would think those animals are protected...

btw I have never heard of meat being sold off stalls in market places in England..... Angry

and quit being so idiotic as to suggest anyone, especially of late, contact the government to ask them if they're letting African bush meat into this country?

Instead, you should have suggested someone ask the government health officials about the flood of deadly diseases suddenly killing people in this country when those diseases were previously unknown before insane migration policies yet were known in the African continent

because there are lots of aussies out there who're discussing these matters, despite it being government policy to play 3 monkeys
