One dead, 2 wounded in Darwin shooting.

One person is believed to be dead and another two have gunshot injuries after a gunman was reported on the loose in Darwin.

The incident started before 6pm with reports of several shots fired.

The shooting unfolded in the suburb of Woolner on Tuesday night, and the offender was described as armed and dangerous.

A 45-year-old Caucasian male has now been arrested without incident, police said.

One person is believed to be dead and another two people have gunshot injuries.

Police earlier said the suspect was described as wearing a high-vis shirt and driving a while dual-cab ute.
