So 4,095,558 people voted for the Coalition and 8,131,690 voted for Labor and other parties/people, In other words, more Australians voted NOT TO HAVE THE COALITION as the government, but as we know it's not that simple Just FYI 7,834,683 voted not to have a Labor government. Also, your figure is wrong by almost 900,000. According to your figures, 6,941,758 didn't vote for the Coalition. So Labor still wouldn't have won.
