Australia resettled accused axe murderers

The interesting aspect of this is the confessions were reportedly obtained by torture and the men have been held by the USA for many years which means they may be angry and aggrieved and may react to hostility and to any provocation.

Bobbi needs to get some new curlers for his hair.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed that two former Rwandan rebel soldiers accused of murdering Western tourists with machetes have come to Australia under the US “people swap” refugee deal.

But he has revealed the men, who claimed their confessions were extracted during torture, were cleared of the crimes by Australian security checks.

“They’re in Australia. And they were cleared of those particular matters in terms of Australia’s assessment of those particular matters. And I can confirm that,” Mr Morrison told the ABC’s 7.30.

“The two were … subject to the security and character assessments [to determine if] they were involved in any war criminal crimes and that security process cleared those individuals.”

The shocking revelation of a secret deal to grant residency to the alleged killers was published on Thursday by US news outlet Politico.

The deal struck by former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull and Barack Obama was almost derailed by US President Donald Trump in a now infamous phone call that was later leaked to the media.

The men were charged after the abduction of 31 Western tourists – and the brutal axe and machete murders of eight of them – by Hutu rebels in Uganda in 1999. ...

Confessions extracted under torture. I can believe that. While mossad slunk away giggling

anyway, as killers go, they're pansies compared to some of our home-grown life-stealers

so what's the problem

they're probably working security at a supermarket and smiling broadly at all the lovely passing Aussies

then may I ask SO WHAT?.... what have they done thats so despicable since their arrival..

were they charged were they found guilty??? not that I know of.. Roll Eyes

are they MUSLIM....whats the betting they are?

I am sure gweggy would have them mowing his lawn if he was lucky enough to have one!

There may be more underlying story to this than meets the eyes people. First of all, why would even USA consider giving these two refugee status given they had been charged with murder. I suspect, these two may be worked for the USA in some capacity. Which is why, the administration, whilst wanting to minimize scrutiny, still go out of their way to arrange safe haven for these two.

Remember even under Obama, USA is still far more positioned to the right than the liberal government here in Australia, and perhaps even more right than One nation.

So just saying, the story just dont match up.

but I've had the same thoughts (I figured mossad) and so have others, for sure

maybe they were just convenient patsies when a heap of trouble was engineered and how better to get world attention than by hacking up international tourists?

If they're lucky, they'll keep their noses clean and die peaceful deaths in Oz

on the other hand, a couple of 'silencers' might travel to Oz 'for a wedding' and so sad, the Rawandans end up dead -- and the govt. says nothing and nor does the media

Or, it might be as it's been portrayed and they were bloodthirsty killers and now they're in Oz they can be knocked off and again, the govt. will say nothing, nor the media
