you're either an idiot or a grub

or both

Don't worry Bob would have known his passing would help Bill a lot as it will remind everyone how good labor can be compared to these inept conservative dimwits Wink

In August 2021, Newcastle Coroner Karen Dilks recorded that Lisa Shaw had died “due to complications of an AstraZeneca COVID vaccination”.

Who thinks like this? Seriously?

Vale Hawkie. The PM through my political awakening. You have not been equalled, except by Gillard and look where it got her.

How would it generate a sympathy vote anyway?

From whom?

Liberal Party supporters are gonna change their vote?

It was such a moronic thing to say.

I think this will be a significant boost to Labor on election day.

People will be reminiscing about the glory days of Labor under Hawke / Keating.

"Do it for Bob" may well become the catch-cry.

He was Labor's longest serving PM. I met him several times, once at the urinal in old Parliament House back in the 1980s. He shook my hand (after he'd washed his) and wished me well in a job interview. He knew my father. He was a great man. Vale, Bob.   Cry

I only met him once.

I drove him to a fundraiser dinner here in Perth a few years ago.

He was a cranky old bugger, but a legend nonetheless.

A very sad loss for our country.

The one good thing is, a Labor government will be presiding over his funeral.

You drove him?

That's interesting comrade.

Yes.

Picked him up at the airport in my old Audi, and drove him to the restaurant.

We discussed Marx & Lenin on the journey.

I sat watching the Silver Bodgie introduce the great man Gough at the Box Hill Town Hall back in the day. Got to shake hands with him after the meeting as well as the great man himself, receiving the "Thanks comrade" from Gough.

My uncle was secretary of the Trades Hall Council and Bob attended my uncle's funeral.

Bob was always the consummate performer.

Of course, I imagine poor old Paul Keating will be internally seething today,   Cheesy  wanting to burst out telling everyone that he was the brains behind the Hawke / Keating team ... and I reckon Paul is right.   Cool

They made a great team.

Those were the days.

Bob Hawke was the last time i voted Labor...

He most likely died of shame of what the Labor Party has become....

Keating was a deadset loser... Mark Latham wasn’t ready to be a leader and blew it...

After that Labor realise it could not win an election without getting in bed 🛌 with the Greens...

and that’s why they have adopted their insane policies and become “progressiveeeee”  Roll Eyes
