So...what say ye about the security team both in failing to prevent it and what they then did after the event?

they should be shot for knocking down that old woman.

Typical though, wait until it's to late and then over react.

Funny how when it was done to Anning, the kid was a hero.

But now this kid is near an axe murderer.

The difference?

One dared to question Islam.
The other, didn't.

Strange world out there.

I see the last PM and his wife out for walks all the time with no security. Even when he was PM they only had 2 or 3 visible security (they probably had a few at distance) but how good is that.

Egging may seem harmless but I think it may embolden people with worse intentions. She could just as easily had a knife.

I must admit I was surprised by that as well, out on buses, trains etc seemingly unaccompanied!

for the most part

we live in a SAFE country.....I never fear walking out side....and so should the members of our parliament....

its the AUSTRALIAN WAY.... I dont care what creed or colour  we have a right to feel safe..

to see young ones  in particular disrespect our leaders makes me sick......and now its getting to violence....as you say it could well have been a knife  and next who knows???..this needs stopping and stopping right now... it is unacceptable.....

this wil go down as the ugly nasty election...

we should be ashamed sadly  some folks find it "good".. Angry Angry Angry Angry

Good point and so it may be a blessing in disguise as far as senior politicians security is concerned.

I think it reflects on the stupidity of the person with the egg.

On my screen the egg definitely hit Morrison ...

the thing is the egg didn't break.

Story that did the rounds yesterday was that that the dumb bint took an already cooked hard boiled egg out of the fridge instead of a raw one.

Dumb & Dumber.

It should also be remembered that afterwards she stated that Morrison deserved that and much more.

What does "much more" entail? I hope they throw the book at her.

She doesn't sound like she regrets it like Egg Boy did.

When he was PM he always had security, but they were subtle, guys in cargo shorts/baseball caps. Just the other day he strolled past with Lucy and I'm 100% sure there was no security. That could never happen in a lot of countries.

Or a small pistol hidden in her woolly hat...... wonder what you could hide under a burqa?  Just asking...

It isn't a matter of our Great Leaders being sacrosanct - it is a matter of common decency that you restrict your opposition to words, questions, and public statements.. in a democratic land...

I did very well telling our Deputy Mayor that there was no need for her to apologise for being in that position... she was most miffed for some reason... can't see why myself..... far better than drilling her, eh?  Took the wind out of her sails....

Of course the egg hit his head cods.

Gordon, are you quite content with the way the security guards (who were not assaulted) immediately dealt with the attacker?  Violently took her down etc etc.
