This is where we are at.

FD says that an Islamist calling blasphemers to be spat on - "doesn't sound like he is saying anything about Islam".

Where do you go after that? There really isn't any adequate response.

We have arrived at peak stupid, and it is simply pointless to continue.

I won't even bother chasing FD up for his continued dodging of my Hizbut tahrir question. I won't ask him a 3rd time.

What did he actually say Gandalf?

gandalf,

Kudos, for a good and meaningful answer, in Reply #20.

...but a pity about all of the many other worthy queries [and criticisms of ISLAM], which you simply chose to ignore.

I guess there aren't enough hours in the day, to address them all.       [laugh]

With respect Yadda, I don't really see any compelling reason why I should engage with someone who wants laws passed to lock me and my family up in indefinite detention.

As if the caliphate was preferable to the rest of us.....

Oh come on!

I'm sure that gandalf just wants us all to live together, in harmony and with respect for each other,
just like.....

Sorry Frank, but are you drawing a moral equivalence to what Yadda wants to do to me and my family by referencing the implementation of the caliphate - as if thats my default position?

Because if you are, it is wrong and offensive. I have no interest or the least bit of support in introducing the caliphate anywhere.

What about Sharia law, you got and interest in seeing that in Australia Gandalf?

Another question of mine in another thread you haven't answered yet - Should muslims stand for judges in court rooms?

Because I can guess the extent of your knowledge of what "sharia law" means is amputations and stoning.

So I'll do my usual spiel about how true sharia law has nothing to do with all that and the true sharia is purely personal and spiritual...

you'll then retort that to enough muslims it means amputations and stoning - and therefore my version is either dishonest or irrelevant.

I'll say 'yeah, nah', and on and on in circles we'll go.

Did you really want to do that little dance Bias? Believe me, I've done it enough times to feel I've earned a rest  Smiley

I wonder what the millions of rape torture and murder victims of islam, from the time of muhammads first soft target (the trade caravans) through to todays little kids at school etc., would think of your version gandi?

The Pew society has done some interesting surveys on what Muslims think shariah law is. The answer was "tough titties, off with their heads".

FD I have never denied that my version is probably a minority view.

It doesn't give you the right to say that I am being dishonest, or even wrong though.

What does give me the right to accuse you of being wrong?

Also, you never told us what they actually said.
