Uh.....

I ticked the option where I said do not use. As in, do not include me in the election

You even sent me an email about this, telling me to nominate myself.

I made a thread saying that I do not believe in moderation. Therefore how can I want to be moderator.

Please do not fiddle with things I do not wish to be a part of.

Also I saw Brian Ross has more than zero votes.

This guy lies about military service and education, and launches ad hominems, and makes pages and pages of posts full of ad hominems, and he is not considered an ineffectual leader or unable to enforce norms or rules that he refuses to acknowledge?

http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/forum-rules.html

As you can see, zero respect for the rules, zero respect for the rights of an individual and an attitude of being above the rules or showing disregard or contempt for the management of the website.

How is this person not 100% ineligible for the position of moderator?

There are consistent and flagrant examples of contempt for the rules and rights of others by Brian Ross.

If you allow this to continue I will leave. I am not having rules enforced against me by someone with that level of refusal to acknowledge and abide by the rules.

Brian Ross is that big of a problem for me. And your website is slow anyway, so if you want to make it any slower, you can allow him to participate in this election and demonstrate to me that rules are not to be followed, they are there to facilitate an abuse of power.

No. I did not have anything to do with that. I only PM'd you saying I think you should, in my view. VIC organised it all.

As for your comment on Brian Ross? Well, if you so strongly feel 'against' his even being a possibility - then you might as well put your hand up so that he 'doesnt'.  Huh

Right or Wrong. Brian has a right to nomination.
Look at Aussie in Relationships and Peckerhead in his Section.

It's all about the 'vote' and if they are in, then anyone else can  take a MOD position. If Aussie and Peckerhead were 'dismissed' from being Mods and they are no longer a precedence, then maybe 'No' - Brian should not be eligible for being a MOD.

But until then - it seems that even Socks and Trolls can be MODS. So be it. That is the way FD & VIC have it.

May the 'most votes' be the winner.

I voted for Brian too. I rarely agree with what he inputs - but he does input with much effort in what he believes, etc. Right or Wrong - he contributes a fair deal into this Section.

My preference is Spatchcock, but she for some reason, does not want the job and has a discrimination against Brian getting it though. Maybe that is her flaw?

Running 8 to 3 at the moment ...

My heart is broken, but what care I? Such pride inside me has woken,
I'll try my best not to cry, by and by,
When the final farewells must be spoken.
I'll join the legion, that's what I'll do, and in some far distant region,
Where human hearts are staunch and true; I shall start my life anew.

Goodbye, it's time I sought a foreign clime,
Where I may find there are hearts more kind than I leave behind.
And so I go to fight the savage foe,
Although I know that I'll be sometimes missed by the girls I've kissed.

In some Abyssinian, French dominion I shall do my bit,
And fall for the flag if I must.
Where the desert sand is nice and handy, I 'll be full of grit,
You won't see my heels for the dust.

I'll do or die, you'll know the reason why when told,
Of bold Leopold's last stand for the fatherland.

Goodbye. Goodbye. I wish you all a last "Goodbye".
Goodbye. Goodbye. I wish you all a last "Gooooooood..........byyyyyyyyyyyye".

He breaks all the rules and offers nothing to this website.

No discussion, no original input.

If that's the direction of your website I'll engage with real people who can't lie about their credentials or use ad hominems and tangents.

If this ship starts sinking I'm headed for the life raft.

I am not staying to be pulled in to line by someone who behaves in such manner.

Hit the Road, Spatch

Ray Charles

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more
What'd you say?

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch  and don't you come back
No more

Oh woman, oh woman, don't treat me so mean
You're the meanest old woman that I've ever have seen
I guess if you say so
I'll have to pack my things and go (that's right)

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more
What'd you say?

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more

Now baby, listen baby, don't you treat me this way
'Cause I'll be back on my feet some day
Don't care if you do, 'cause it's understood
You ain't got no money, you just ain't no good
Well, I guess if you say so
I'll have to pack my things and go (that's right)

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more
What'd you say?

Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more, no more, no more, no more
Hit the road Spatch and don't you come back
No more

Well (don't you come back no more)

Uh, what you say? (don't you come back no more)

I didn't understand you (don't you come back no more)

You can't mean that (don't you come back no more)

Oh now baby please (don't you come back no more)

What you tryin' to do to me? (don't you come back no more)

Oh, don't treat me like that, baby (don't you come back no more)

I was wagging school in Mt Druitt and researching in University (back when they used 'cards' for locating) Libraries at the age of 10, long before most go to Uni to learn how to research.
I keep my cards close to my chest. You won't see anything out of me, until I'm a wise old man - as a reflection of my works. Until then, I'm just cruising the change in writing, historically - where 'words' are no longer just on paper, but they write back to you as if they had a mind of their own.
I suggest you mind yours, if you think you are 'above' a number of people here, that you exhibit aloofness as a form of intellectual coolness.

Something lost, is something gained.

No I'm just saying if you allow Brian Ross to degrade the quality of this website any further I'll go elsewhere. I'll forgo my anonymity to be around people who know what they are talking about and don't pretend to have Masters Degrees when they do not. People who can argue effectovely and respect the rights of others. I will.

I'm seriously not going to tolerate it. All the rules are broken by him. If the ownership of this site has no respect for this site, why should I contribute and try and make this a place of interest for casual browsers?

I'll just go where there is actual grass and more than five people to engage with.

If you're happy for him to moderate whilst showing flagrant disregard for the rules, constant ad hominem attacks and an inability to argue at all and instead rely on deflection staying here is pointless. This website has no future. The quality of it will erode until there is nothing left.

And I will not invest time and energy watching that happen.

I will go engage with the youth of the nation.

Spatchcock tries to draw blood from a stone with Brian Ross.
Barnacle and Longweekend are similar to Ross.
She needs to just put aside her fear of Brian banning her for 'nothing', if he becomes Mod.
She has capitulated before he has even taken the job.  Roll Eyes

Very 'weak minded' don't you think?

Well Eurovision 'unites' Europe better than what Politics and Military and even Religion is struggling to achieve.
Even the World is starting to take notice of Europe as the Music Super Power of the World.

Now run along dear because you chucked a tantrum over Brian Ross. Jeez.
You know - you would be a better Member if you just 'moved on' in the right way and just 'ignored' the flaw in him and not 'react' so obsessionally.

Just that Eurovision is more than his entire self worth.

And people don't even watch Eurovision, and forget about it after five minutes.

It's another one of those things for people to come home to and spend an hour watching before bed and in between dinner and showering and doing the dishes, before they go back to work again the next day.

Something they can live vicariously through, like MAFS, MKR, Home and Away etc. Something to distract them from the mundane of life. Something that isn't real.

Something that is still greater than the entire sum and value of his life.

At the moment I can reach 5-10 people on this website with my political analysis and persuasion.

At university I can reach over 30 per day with no effort.

If I add my classes, library time, lunch time, I can easily expose thirty people a day to my brand of politics.

If five of them are persuaded by me and use my brand of thinking to save the world, and reach 10 people per day each, there's 70 per day.

And that magnifies in scope when you consider new adherents.

Brian, if you don't withdraw from this candicacy, I will leave. And I will engage in public outreach.

My brand of political persuasion is not going to help the Aussie social order mate Army hey.

So if you don't withdraw I'll be causing harm to Australia.

So now this is about patriotism Vs ego. If you love your country, mitigate the potential harm to Australia political cultural identity and withdraw.

If this is about egos and ad hominems you obviously won't withdraw. Prove your patriotism.

Or I will be doing my penance to God to forgive me for supporting the Army offline instead of online.

I am doing everything I can to ensure I don't receive eternal damnation and go to hell with you when I die. At the moment that is affirming my beliefs online. I will take it to the campus if you don't leave.

Either way you lose. Either way I will spend every day of the rest of my life denouncing the military. If you want that uncontrolled in a public setting, you know what to do.

This reminds me of some drunk drugged Darwinist from University who stood 2 storeys up during a Rave among us 'stoopid' people (who never went to Uni) and threatened to commit suicide by jumping to his death.
We all shouted and cheered "Jump! Jump! Jump!"
And he did. Splat!
We cheered louder and turned up the music and partied on.
Survival of the Free Thinkers - we who don't get told what to do.

Ozpolitic needs more bigots and racists? Really? It would probably provoke cannibalism among Ozpolitic bigots and racists who tear each other apart to prove themselves the biggest bigot and the most racist racist.

No.

There's five posters on here and about ten duplicates.

There is no lesson to be learned. I was winning 5-4 and stated it was against my wishes to be included.

The lesson is what exactly?

You are of the mind that a military imposter is a good leader of the defence board? You are of the mind that someone who has been proven wrong with every single statement they've made is a good leader for this board?

What does that tell you about the demographic?

What does that tell you about yourself and your motivations?

LOL

depends if you take the first sentence as the thing to be in need.

A lot like the odd punctuation / missing punctuation dilemma?

e.g

"Don't let hard housework kill your wife, let electricity do it!"

Look if you can't handle my opinion and need to use ad hominems and slander and ridicule and skew votes, and put Brian in......

I'm going to talk to the youth about how I feel about China and dead babies. If that affects future generations and their voting habits and value system so be it. It will be unrestrained.

Or Brian can withdraw. And I can be contained in this arena and not amongst the youth and future of tomorrow.

Otherwise I will leave and do my penance in public every day.

I reckon your whinging is just showing us all that there is a reverse psychology to hearing someone whinge.

A bit like Pauline Hanson?

I will activate the motherly instincts of the females and talk about the psychological state of the military and have them crusading for me.

And I will activate the protective instincts of the males and have them doing the same.

If you can't handle me here I'll give it to a receptive audience liable to act on my behalf.

Remember, death is bad. War is bad. No one will be against me, and if it is some walt proving to army that they're armies friend, that's easy to reeducate.

I don't think you are capable of understanding the impact of dedicated political activism on a university campus in regards to electoral outcomes. If I have to be portrayed as assisting the Greens or Socialist Alliance with their long term anti American agenda I will. And cause extreme damage to the public standing of the military and conservative politics.

Or Brian leaves.

The fact is if you want to identify in this way against me, and vilify me, I will resist you and everything you stand for.

And change political outlooks amongst the youth of Australia.

So it's five here or untold elsewhere.

Go Brian. For the good of the electoral system. To ensure the military is not purposefully tarnished.

As amusing as it is to poke fun at Spatchcock, it is a trifle unfair to do so.  While she/he/it is digging a hole deeper and deeper, all by herself/himself/itself, we should remember that he/she/it should be accorded at least some respect.

That is the last thing I'm going to say on her/his/it's behalf.   I just think she/he/it should be left alone.

And Spatchcock, there is no chance of me withdrawing from this forum just because you've asked me to.

You will be welcome here if I win the election.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

He's going to give me a reason to go to bars and clubs and wear T-shirts with slogans if he doesn't withdraw.

He's going to change my "how you going" to "did you see the news yesterday?"

Leave it Brian.

I'm gonna spend your tax dollars on beer and printing instead of spending my time here if you become moderator. It will also give my directionless life some purpose.

Just answering Cod's question about the current state of the vote.

(Your name is still on the poll, even though you say you have withdrawn from the ballot.)

Perhaps Vic should call the result now?

To think. Spatchcock would have walked it in over Brian, if she didn't 'void' herself from the vote.
Reason being that everyone has enjoyed her input (right or wrong) in Defence subjects.
She was new and refreshing.
People can get 'tired' (*yawn) of Brian often. But he has gained a high vote to the others, because he contributes often as well.
Right or Wrong - its the 'Players' who are on the field a lot, that gets my vote.
VIC also contributes a lot, but he is cool enough not to be an 'over-achiever'.
Captain Nemo is good enough. Cool
I don't know about DonDeeHippy (Jovial Monk)  Roll Eyes - drunken rants mostly.  Cheesy
