Thanks Oktema- guess I am just being a bit impatient- and thanks for the advice re Fox free streaming- might wait for the DVDS as giving Foxtel/Murdoch anything at all doesn't sit well with me-

A lot of people feel the same way about Rupert, pragmatically many of them choose to download (pirate) each new episode then latter buy the DVDs to support the artists and production.

Murdoch (through 21st Century Fox) tried but failed to buy Time Warner the parent company of HBO a few years ago. So I very much doubt Murdoch/Foxtel has anything beyond the streaming rights for Game of Thrones.

However Foxtel is still owned buy (his main company) News Corp 65% and Telstra 35%

He ended up selling 21st Century Fox to Disney.

Last year, our town's last video store shut down. I went and bought about $200 worth of dvds, including tv series. I have no shortage of movies and dvds to get through before the end of next year. Plus, I still have another 300 dvds to rewatch that I have had in my collection since 2004.

Just recently, I have taken to downloading youtube videos to flash drive so that I can watch on my bedroom television later. To think that I would be worried about watching a particular tv series before the dvd comes out, it is ridiculous.

You can either stream an illegal download of the show online. Or you can watch when the show is available for free. Otherwise, just pay to see it.
