They are pulling down old houses everywhere and building boxes of air to house more immigrants. This is the only economy they have and they know it. But like all ponzi schemes they eventually fizzle out Wink

The Answer?  Build more roads.  Even better, build more train and tram lines...  Get the people out of their cars and off the roads.   Roll Eyes

It's too late - we should have built them 50 years ago.
When I was in Paris the first time in 1985 -
you could get a train to the airport &
go up a long escalator to the baggage check in -
you could take the TGV fast train from Paris to Lyon in only 2 hours -
I did both many times.
We haven't even reached that stage of advancement 34 years later.
I would say 50 years behind is about right and we didn't have to
rebuild our country after it was flattened in WW2.

Australians are the champions of mediocrity.

We all wanted fiber to the home but we didn't want to pay for it.
I know someone who got it -
it cost $1800 and they get up to a gigabit per second
except that no site downloads to them at that speed.

NLP is immigration by Plane Loads - so the Airline Industry can cash in on it.
While ALP are pro-foreign Boat Businesses cashing in on immigration by Boat Loads.

So what will happen if hundreds of Australian domestic Boat Businesses start bringing immigrants by 'Boat'
...the traditional Australian way
?

You are a victim of the politics of jealousy it appears, Bobby.

France is a small country, compared to Australia.   VFT are not economic in Australia because of the distances and the relatively low passenger numbers.   Rebuilding France was necessary after WWII, so they got rid of a lot of their old infrastructure.   We have a lot still dating back to the turn of the 20th century.   We could demolish Sydney and Melbourne and start again, I suppose.  It'd be more economic in the long run...   Roll Eyes

Well they could have levelled Parramatta for $6 Billion long ago, (around the same time as the first effort for the Badgery's Airport scheme) and made it the prime CBD for Sydney, where every part of the Basin has 'equal' access of transportability and not have all traffic squeeze up into a Bottleneck towards Sydney Cove/Harbour -
that was BUILT FOR FARUCKING BOATS YOU IDIOTS! Sydney itself, was/is a PORT not a CITY

well Australia has been supporting US foreign policy for decades ,

bombing brown people all over the planet , and as such

has an obligation to accept migrants they genocide ..

its all part of the Fabian Society Principles Bob Hawke spoke upon many times ....

QUOTES BY BOB MENZIES AND BOB HAWKE.

“I always tell my Opposition friends that the only difference between us is that
I am theoretically non-Socialist, yet an amazingly practical Socialist, while they
are theoretically Socialists. People will accept things from us that they wouldn’t
accept from the Labor Party . . . . . It is a question of speed . . . .”
Statement of Robert Gordon Menzies, Deceptive Prime Minister and high ranking
Freemason, as quoted in the Melbourne Age, 3-3-1941.

“I gladly acknowledge the debt of my own government to Fabianism. The Fabian
Society acknowledges the principal tenet of Marxism, the abolition of private
property, in this case to own land. They then align themselves with the non-violent
arm of Marxism by accepting the non-violent road of patient gradualism to total
government.”
Bob Hawke, Fabian and Labor government Prime Minister of Australia, in his speech
to the Fabian Society in Melbourne on the 8th May 1984.

“For the right moment you must wait, as Fabius did, most patiently, when warring
against Hannibal, though many censured his delays; but when the time comes to
strike, you must strike hard, as Fabius did, or all your waiting will be in vain and
fruitless.”
•Bob Hawke, another Deceptive Prime Minister, to the Fabian Society, 1984

“In politics, stupidity is not a handicap.”
Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

The overseas arrivals data showed 115,100 new people declared Australia as their new home in February, as annual immigration soared by a record 844,800.

The problem is the roads.
they are even clogged on weekends yet alone at week day peak hours.

Roll Eyes

Just excuses from you -
typical Aussie excuses -
aww - Australia is too large -
aww - our population is too small.

Melbourne and Sydney are 2 of the largest villages in the world -
they bear little resemblance to the great cities of the world
like London, Paris & New York.

Melbourne still doesn't have a train line to the airport -
that is shocking urban planning.

Oh, I agree.  See my previous comment just above this, Bobby.   Only Adelaide and Canberra and to a lesser extent Perth are actually planned in Australia.  All three lack an adequate transport system though.  All Australian cities are overly reliant on the car for personal transport.   Such a silly predicament, when fossil fuels are going out of fashion.   Roll Eyes

You can go all over Paris on the Metro.
At the outskirts of Paris there are buses
to take you almost anywhere.
You can take the Metro all the way from Paris to Charles de Gaulle airport.
You arrive from deep underground - right at the departure area & only have to walk
less than 100 meters to check your baggage in.

Getting to the airport in Melbourne is a nightmare and
they charge you megabucks for parking.

There are no timetables in the Metro -
you never wait more than 2 minutes for a train.
It's absolutely wonderful compared to Melbourne.
Melbourne is like a swimming pool where you just keep
putting more chlorine in to mask out the stink.

They are, Bobby, they are.  None of them was planned.  Just as neither Sydney or Melbourne were ever planned in their development.  They just happened.    Roll Eyes

Brian,
That's rubbish.
Can you tell me that the grand boulevards of Paris were not planned?
Look up the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and get back to me.

No disagreement there, Bobby.

Well then, apologise to me.

Once you move away from les Grands Boulevards, Paris is a confusing web of narrow streets, alleys and so on, few meeting at right angles, just as Sydney and Melbourne are, Bobby.   The les Grands Boulevards were planned, the rest just happened.  Now, compare that to Adelaide, Perth and Canberra - particularly Canberra - the three most planned cities in Australia with broad avenues, streets that meet at right angles and few alleys.   Funny that, Bobby.   I suspect you've never lived outside of Melbourne, have you?    Roll Eyes

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

That Paris is not like Adelaide, Perth and Canberra AND SO THAT IS SOMEHOW A SHORTCOMING OF PARIS is a novel argument only someone like you could advance, Bwian.

Haussmann re-designed and reconstituted Paris in the 19th century, erasing much of its medieval labyrinths and making is a much more controllable city.

Aussies now realise that's a fallacy

Same as 'bringing them in to do the jobs Aussies refuse to do'

and 'Skills shortage'

and 'Need them to pay for all the aged pensioners'

any more?

Comes with a warning:  it better be good

Or … you could just say, Kalergi Plan

Peak wank that, Bwian.

You are such a Disney character of the know-bugger-all busy-body Alzheimer's sufferer, Bwian.  As if not having streets at right angles in a city that has been around for about 1500 years is an argument or a valid point for anything.

You are such a comic character, Bwian. You are on board with anything that has a head band of 'Look at me, I am F**!!@ ***@!%$#!!!!!!king Stupid!!! AND you will NEVER beat me at this F%$$$%&^^##$%%ing game!!!".

You never miss one. It is a talent of yours.  It's your calling.

I don't claim to be an authority on anything, Bobby, just well read and I have studied quite a few interesting things over the years, as my curiosity has taken me there.   I set up up a GIS lab for a university.  I had to study GIS first to understand it and it was a fascinating little journey.    Roll Eyes

The more the merrier they say, the merriment is starting to wear a bit thin from what I have seen around the big cities, mass immigration will do that and the bollards don't help. Vote Pauline.

Australia's immigration rate has surged to a new record high with more than 115,000 permanent arrivals in just one month.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics released new immigration figures on Thursday, hours after Prime Minister Scott Morrison called an election for May 18.

Anning is right. We now have diversity bollards, protective services at train stations, middle Eastern crime squad, youth gang (African) crime squad, separate sections for Lebanese Aboriginals Muslims and other groups in our max security prisons to stop Muslims radicalizing other prisoners, 400 odd on a federal cop terrorist watch list, loss of free speech and association and a divided and much lower trust society just to name a few off the top of my head. Diversity is our strength they keep telling us. ??? And patriotic Aussies are labeled all kinds like Nazi and fascist etc just for speaking out against this. Clown world is what we live in now Honk Honk! Vote for Annings party this may be our last chance to turn things around patriots!

Poland has a ZERO net immigration rate. I don't see them perishing because of this ! Only the dickheads in australia would buy the kevin dudd spin about populating or perishing. And dudd is doing very well out of it with his 200K a year pension, 20 mill property portfolio and his wife making a killing out of the unemployed Sad

This is all designed to stop house prices from crashing by creating artificial demand but the banks are not buying it anymore. They know that most of these people are a bad risk !

Whinge. whinge. whinge and whine, that is all we hear from the Xenophobes.

What they refuse to recognise is that Australia has a reducing birthrate.   Therefore, we have an aging population.  With fewer young people to support the older generation(s) in their old age.   Without migration, we would be well and truly stuffed.   Without third world immigrants, we would have no one willing to do the dirty jobs they don't want to do.  These are facts of life in 21st century Australian society.

We are not a self-sustaining population.  We are not a self-sustaining society.   We are not isolated from the rest of the world and it's political and immigration movements.   We can control the numbers that come and we can, to a lesser extent the places they come from.

No immigration group has failed to assimilate, despite what the Islamophobes and Racists claim.   Ever immigration group has been subjected to the same slurs and hatreds, be they Irish or Italian or Greek or Yugoslav or Lebanese or Indochinese or Muslim or African all they are received with is hatred from the no-hopers who cannot or will not compete with them and expect an easy life handed to them on a platter.   Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Wrong again nail darling. Poland has -0.39 per 100,000 net migration rate. You're not good with facts but great with fiction.

Great example Nail. More people are leaving Poland than are being born in Poland.

Nonsense. Poorer European immigrants have been doing the menial jobs here and in America for a century or more. That you need large numbers of third worlders fro incompatible socueties and cultures is complete nonsense nonsense.

Many jobs are being automated anyway.

From your wikipedia article, Soren:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/09/R%C3%A9alisationsUrbai... Quote:
The boulevards and streets built by Napoléon III and Haussmann during the Second Empire are shown in red. They also built the Bois de Boulogne park (green area on the left), the Bois de Vincennes park containing a zoo (green area on the right), the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, the Parc Montsouris and dozens of smaller parks and squares.

As I said, apart from the les Grand Boulevardes, Soren, Paris remained a hodgepodge of narrow streets, few which met at right angles...

You like to parade your ratbaggery at every possible chance, don't you, Bwian?  If most streets do not meet at right angles that renders Hausmann's utter transformation of Paris from a medieval to a modern city completely trivial if not invisible to your myopic and blinkered eyes, bwian. And from that map - how do you deduct the 'remain a hodgepodge'?

'apart from the boulevards, he says!  Cheesy

Haussmann's renovation of Paris was a vast public works program commissioned by Emperor Napoléon III and directed by his prefect of the Seine, Georges-Eugène Haussmann, between 1853 and 1870. It included the demolition of medieval neighborhoods that were deemed overcrowded and unhealthy by officials at the time; the building of wide avenues; new parks and squares; the annexation of the suburbs surrounding Paris; and the construction of new sewers, fountains and aqueducts. Haussmann's work was met with fierce opposition, and he was finally dismissed by Napoleon III in 1870; but work on his projects continued until 1927. The street plan and distinctive appearance of the center of Paris today is largely the result of Haussmann's renovation.[1]

Virtually all other societies appear to have integrated well within Australia's Multicultural society.  The only society that is "incompatible" with Australian society, Soren is your supposedly superior Nazi society and guess what, that was a European one.  Perhaps that is why you find it so hard to live with your neighbours?  Afterall, they could be Muslim or tinted or perhaps even Gay...    Roll Eyes

Even more interesting, when was the photo taken?

Why do you assume that boatload of people is typical of the immigrants who come to Australia, Bobby?

You are aware, I hope of the points test that potential immigrants are subjected to before they are granted a place here?

You are also aware that I am talking about the Immigration Stream, not the Asylum Seekers stream....   ?

To Brian & John,
the answers to your questions are irrelevant.
Africa already has a population of 1.5 billion people.
By 2050 there will be 1 billion more making 2.5 billion of them.
Even if only 1% want to come here that's 25 million of them!

Africa is a human catastrophe that's already started.
We have to stop them now before it's too late.
The more we feed them & the more wells we drill to supply water - the more they reproduce.
It's a very sad situation for them but it's not our problem.

Brian,
what you're saying sounds so nice but
I don't think we can help those people.
You would have to compulsorily sterilize them and there's no
way that eugenics would be acceptable in this day and age.
People like you would just say - you're a Nazi.
Meanwhile 1 billion people will be born into starvation and misery.

Bullshit it's irrelevant. If you're going to ask about them when discussing the contribution of migrants to Australia, it is very relevant where the photo was taken. After all, you wouldn't want anyone to think you're a low down lying piece of poo racist making crap up, now would you?

1 billion people will be born into starvation and misery -

what's your solution?

So, in say, a hundred years time, when we are having difficulty feeding ourselves or supplying water to our population, what should the Africans say to our entreaties for help, Bobby?

"Get stuffed, you're not our problem"?

We are all humans, we belong to each other, no matter what the colour of our skin, our religion, our culture, we should help one another when there are problems.  Turning your bac on them will only come back to haunt you, Bobby.   We could help educated them, help them with medicines, with agriculture and with contraceptives, if you're really worried by their population.    Roll Eyes

Brian,
what you're saying sounds so nice but
I don't think we can help those people.
You would have to compulsorily sterilize them and there's no
way that eugenics would be acceptable in this day and age.
People like you would just say - you're a Nazi.
Meanwhile 1 billion people will be born into starvation and misery.

No one needs to be steralised, Bobby.  No one needs to be a Nazi.   Very few need starve or live a life of misery.   What is required is for you to open your heart and actually seek to help these people and stop them from having to flee from war and devastation.

Recently Mozambique suffered the worst Cyclone in living memory.  Millions were rendered homeless and starving.   Who sent help?  No European country.  No First world country.  Now compare that with what happened when a Cycle strikes a First world country, or a country with mainly white people in it, say in the Caribbean.   What happens when a Tsunami strikes an Asian nation?   Why wasn't help sent?  Perhaps it was 'cause of the colour of the victims...   Roll Eyes

The thing is that we don't have the money to pay for all their social security.
We borrow money to pay it and of course it's never enough so
many of them turn to crime - home invasions and
car jackings to supplement their dole.
If asylum seekers haven't found proper jobs in the first year here they should be sent back
to where they came from.
God help us in 2050 when there are 1 billion more Africans.

Australia has always been culturally diverse.

Before European settlement, it is estimated that there were 700 different Indigenous cultural groups speaking some 250 different languages. When the First Fleet arrived in Sydney in 1788, there were estimated to be about 60 different nationalities among the crew and convicts.

Since then, extensive immigration from countries and cultures from around the world have extended the cultural and linguistic diversity of Australia’s population making it one of the most diverse populations in the world today.

Multiculturalism is a colossal lie.

Two Muslim brothers who claim Australian law does not apply to them have been fined $100,000 for contempt of court.

Mustapha and Diaa Kara-Ali reportedly laughed when the judge handed down the punishment today in Sydney’s Land and Environment Court, after they were compelled to appear for felling trees on a northwest Sydney property without council permission.

The brothers had tried to argue that the Islamic organisation they ran, Diwan Al Dawla, was exempt from Australian law on religious grounds.

They failed in their bid and were fined $100,000 for what a judge called a “flagrant” breach of a court order to stop construction works to build a Muslim religious centre on their rural property in Colo.

They and their business were convicted on 12 charges of contempt of court.

A furious Mustapha Kara-Ali left the Court on Thursday saying: “Our religion is prime, the cross belongs in the dustbin of history.”…

In September, Mustapha told the council he had an issue with the “religious symbolism of court”.

Specifically, he objected to the St George Cross on both the Australian and NSW coat of arms which, he said, harked back to the Crusades, a series of medieval religious wars between Muslim and Christian forces.

“How can it be that I’m expected to be loyal to the religious symbols of another religion, because such symbols are given coercive force?” he said in a submission last year justifying why he would not attend court.

“To be present at an adjudicating court that upholds the religious symbols of the crusades is religiously unacceptable.”

He said a religious association such as Diwan Al Dawla can “choose to not comply with state laws” in matters of religious practice.

“We believe that the NSW court’s upholding of religious symbols that represent the Crusader wars of the medieval period encourages and incites religious violence against us by a group of hit squads who share the desire to uphold their own religious symbols which they consider to be official over ours,” he said.

They are not assimilating, they do not want to assimilate. They want to wage jihad until they dominate.  And 'multiculturalism' gives them every opportunity and assistance to do just that.
