NLP is immigration by Plane Loads - so the Airline Industry can cash in on it.
While ALP are pro-foreign Boat Businesses cashing in on immigration by Boat Loads.

So what will happen if hundreds of Australian domestic Boat Businesses start bringing immigrants by 'Boat'
...the traditional Australian way
?

It's too late - we should have built them 50 years ago.
When I was in Paris the first time in 1985 -
you could get a train to the airport &
go up a long escalator to the baggage check in -
you could take the TGV fast train from Paris to Lyon in only 2 hours -
I did both many times.
We haven't even reached that stage of advancement 34 years later.
I would say 50 years behind is about right and we didn't have to
rebuild our country after it was flattened in WW2.

Australians are the champions of mediocrity.

You are a victim of the politics of jealousy it appears, Bobby.

France is a small country, compared to Australia.   VFT are not economic in Australia because of the distances and the relatively low passenger numbers.   Rebuilding France was necessary after WWII, so they got rid of a lot of their old infrastructure.   We have a lot still dating back to the turn of the 20th century.   We could demolish Sydney and Melbourne and start again, I suppose.  It'd be more economic in the long run...   Roll Eyes

Well they could have levelled Parramatta for $6 Billion long ago, (around the same time as the first effort for the Badgery's Airport scheme) and made it the prime CBD for Sydney, where every part of the Basin has 'equal' access of transportability and not have all traffic squeeze up into a Bottleneck towards Sydney Cove/Harbour -
that was BUILT FOR FARUCKING BOATS YOU IDIOTS! Sydney itself, was/is a PORT not a CITY

...meanwhile they spend $100's of Billions of dollars on FOREIGN MILITARY PROFITEERING.  Roll Eyes

well Australia has been supporting US foreign policy for decades ,

bombing brown people all over the planet , and as such

has an obligation to accept migrants they genocide ..

its all part of the Fabian Society Principles Bob Hawke spoke upon many times ....

QUOTES BY BOB MENZIES AND BOB HAWKE.

“I always tell my Opposition friends that the only difference between us is that
I am theoretically non-Socialist, yet an amazingly practical Socialist, while they
are theoretically Socialists. People will accept things from us that they wouldn’t
accept from the Labor Party . . . . . It is a question of speed . . . .”
Statement of Robert Gordon Menzies, Deceptive Prime Minister and high ranking
Freemason, as quoted in the Melbourne Age, 3-3-1941.

“I gladly acknowledge the debt of my own government to Fabianism. The Fabian
Society acknowledges the principal tenet of Marxism, the abolition of private
property, in this case to own land. They then align themselves with the non-violent
arm of Marxism by accepting the non-violent road of patient gradualism to total
government.”
Bob Hawke, Fabian and Labor government Prime Minister of Australia, in his speech
to the Fabian Society in Melbourne on the 8th May 1984.

“For the right moment you must wait, as Fabius did, most patiently, when warring
against Hannibal, though many censured his delays; but when the time comes to
strike, you must strike hard, as Fabius did, or all your waiting will be in vain and
fruitless.”
•Bob Hawke, another Deceptive Prime Minister, to the Fabian Society, 1984

“In politics, stupidity is not a handicap.”

Just excuses from you -
typical Aussie excuses -
aww - Australia is too large -
aww - our population is too small.

Melbourne and Sydney are 2 of the largest villages in the world -
they bear little resemblance to the great cities of the world
like London, Paris & New York.

Melbourne still doesn't have a train line to the airport -
that is shocking urban planning.

Actually, they are remarkably similar - unplanned or poorly planned hodgepodges of a CBD surrounded by suburbs.

Oh, I agree.  See my previous comment just above this, Bobby.   Only Adelaide and Canberra and to a lesser extent Perth are actually planned in Australia.  All three lack an adequate transport system though.  All Australian cities are overly reliant on the car for personal transport.   Such a silly predicament, when fossil fuels are going out of fashion.   Roll Eyes

You can go all over Paris on the Metro.
At the outskirts of Paris there are buses
to take you almost anywhere.
You can take the Metro all the way from Paris to Charles de Gaulle airport.
You arrive from deep underground - right at the departure area & only have to walk
less than 100 meters to check your baggage in.

Getting to the airport in Melbourne is a nightmare and
they charge you megabucks for parking.

There are no timetables in the Metro -
you never wait more than 2 minutes for a train.
It's absolutely wonderful compared to Melbourne.
Melbourne is like a swimming pool where you just keep
putting more chlorine in to mask out the stink.
