Oz Politics Failing
Mar 19th, 2019 at 8:27am

Australian Politics is failing.
The two big Parties of ALP & NLP are no longer cutting the mustard with the NLP going down and the ALP failing to get up - in standards.
The Independents are appearing to try and keep the ship afloat but they are too few in number.

The Unions, Democrats, Nationals & Greens are in bed with the NLP & ALP - thus losing their own ways as Individual distinct parties. Much like Rudd got Peter Garret into ALP  where he could 'imprison' any effort Garret tried to make for  Environmental/Conservation benefits (against either ALP or NLP).

It's a sinking ship people!
So unless more Independents come out in force by numbers to make a majority like a school of fish?
This country is politically going down the gurgler.

There'd be something seriously wrong if the Unions weren't in bed with the ALP.

The ALP was created by the Unions.

Don't you have to be a member of a trade union to join the ALP?

It's a consequence of electing privileged white closet poms whose only quality was that they were the biggest whiners on the ballot.

You can't turn whiners into winners by changing two letters in words.

Yes.

It would be a little strange if that were not the case.

The ALP was created by the Unions, for the Unions, and is run by the Unions.

It only stands to reason that one should be a Union member if one wants to join the ALP.

JaSin is a classic loser. He lives in the back of a clapped out truck, bangs grannies as a sport, and has a string of failures which he calls a life.

Sorry Greg but you are wrong....I was a member of Labor for several years before Rudd axed Julia Gillard and I have never belonged to any Union....I am no longer a member of any political party!!!

Ah, okay - they might have changed it.

Or, maybe it's just suggested that you be a Union member, but it's not compulsory.

Actually Phil, I just checked.

This is from the Victorian branch of the ALP:

"Note: Membership applicants must be a member of an affiliated union if applicable.

"See a full list of affiliated unions listed on the other side
of this form."

Used to be that way.

I'm not sure what the current rule is.

I just checked the Victorian and South Australian branches.

They both say you "must" be a union member if, eligible.

https://sa.alp.org.au/files/Membership_2015-16_FINAL.pdf

https://www.viclabor.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Central-Member-2018.pdf

The point is, why is that unusual?

The ALP was created by the Unions, for the Unions, and is run by the Unions.

It makes perfect sense to be a member.

Our idiot politicians just don't get it

Virtue signalling to every minority and mentally ill group is only alienating them from the majority of normal human beings in Australia.

People don't vote for politicians any more

They vote against the one they hate the most.

I'd love an option on the ballot papers " sack the lot and start again"

Imagine the result 99.99% woukd tick that box.
