Election Adverts

Since Keating usurped Hawke and started a domino effect of self-destruction by both Parties.
The style of Adverts for Elections have steadily grown to be nothing more than 'mud-slinging' against each other.

...neither one willing to work together 'like mates' to make this a better nation. Instead - they are trying to tear this nation apart.  Roll Eyes

Except when it comes to national security.

Both parties always say they will always be united and never disagree on matters of national security.

Let's look at recent national security:

Illegal immigrants
"Election interference"

So we have these really bad countries like China and Iran. Maybe we need to bomb them with our best friend America they are that bad. Now we have all these people coming here from these horrible countries to escape these horrible governments. ASIO says they are not refugees, it's not that bad, send them back.

Then maybe, just like Iraq, we can bomb their homes for hegemony and make more little girls in to amputees so they never get married and breed more brown people.

These countries are so bad they aren't allowed to have a voice in Australia, and we may need to invade them, but we send people back there who are trying to escape from there....

This should not prevent an opposition from highlighting the record of a bad government. When a government is as badly on the nose as the current Federal government, attacks against their record are inevitable.

The Coalition are spending record amounts on political advertising using taxpayers money....Were they have made a huge error is now Labor can do the same thing when they are elected to Government....The Coalition are taking the taxpayer for a ride nobody wants to be on???

Quote:
Coalition changes rules to let MPs spend millions more taxpayer dollars on ads

After committing more than $200m to advertising in the last year, the federal government has moved to change regulations which would free taxpayer-funded electoral allowances to be used in radio and television advertisements.

Last month, documents revealed the government planned to spend $36m before the May federal election advertising its infrastructure spending and income tax package plan.

Scott Morrison, who criticised Labor for its advertising spend in 2013, said last month he believed it was “entirely appropriate for Australians to understand what their government is doing”.

If the regulation change is disallowed by the Senate, would the MPs be required to reimburse the taxpayers?

This could be the case Bam....The Coalition are taking the taxpayer for a ride....This is bullshit!!!

Quote:
The parliamentary business resources amendment put forward by the special minister of state, Alex Hawke, would repeal the section which bans office expenses being used to pay for “production or placement of content for broadcasting on television or radio”.

The current budgeted office expenses allow for just under $110,000 for every senator and more than $136,647 for every lower house MP.

Labor has vowed to challenge the changes, but with just one sitting of parliament scheduled before the likely election date, it is running out of time.

“If we can’t stop it through the parliament, we will make people pay back the money,” Plibersek said. “Members of parliament should not be using taxpayer funds to run political ads, full stop.”

Hawke accused Labor of “opposing the rights of disadvantaged communities”.

The taxpayer forks out a small fortune for "office expenses" and now the bastards want to change the rules so the incumbent can use taxpayers money in election campaigns....This rabble must go!!!
