Yup. Doesn't say he got life. If he got life he wouldn't get out. I don't know why he didn't get life but he didn't. They changed it some years ago that if you get 'life's you don't ever get out. Something to do with the truth in sentencing thing.

Rubbish. There are mandatory provisions that a 'life sentence' must be imposed. Judge has done his job. "Life."

Then, it is over to parole boards to determine if there should be an early release.

There is no such thing as a life sentence in this country.

Roger Roberson got life. So did that guy that just died. They will never get out. Apparently life sentences are given out sparingly because of the truth in sentencing thing but they do happen. Do you think Ivan milat will ever get out?

I don't know about qld with the life sentence but I was not saying anything about mandatory sentences. I was speaking if the sentence of life.
