Speaking of Invention Day .....
Feb 12th, 2019 at 11:26pm

https://au.news.yahoo.com/residents-tiny-town-say-theyre-evicted-theyre-white-21...

"Residents in a tiny opal mining town 1000 kilometres from Adelaide say they’ve been the target of racial discrimination.

Mintabie is in the process of being wiped off the map after damning allegations of violence and drug trafficking.

The state government and traditional land owners have decided to shut the town, booting out all its residents, after a review found Mintabie serves as a haven of illegal activity, and a gateway for trafficking drugs and alcohol into the APY lands.

The decision’s infuriating locals, who say they’ve been demonised for being white.

They’ve now banded together and hired lawyer Todd Grant to help pursue legal action against the government.

“They’re terminating the lease eight years early, and they’ve told everyone they’ve got to be out by either the 30th of June or the 11th of February,” Mr Grant told 7 News.

“It’s a weird way to stop the drug trade by evicting all the legal residents, and it’s unlikely the drug runners are going to obey a notice of eviction.”

Many of the town’s 60 residents have been in Mintabie for decades – few want to leave.

But those without a permit to be on APY land will need to go by the end of the month. If they stay there, they’ll be in breach of the APY act, and subject to criminal prosecution

Many who have nowhere else to go, will not be compensated for the houses they’ve lived in for 30 or 40 years and invested their savings in.

The government declined to comment on camera for 7News, but says the town’s closure will go ahead."

Any thoughts?  Cool

If Mintabie is a gazetted town [a part of Australia, and a 'locality' within Australia], and if the residents are taxpayers,
isn't the town entitled to have some branch of government provide a police service, or provide visits by police officers to the town, or have the establishment of a [remote] police station there ?

Or, are all of the 'residents' Mintabie illegal occupiers, who someone [or some government agency] wants removed ?

Well - it IS an opal mining town, and the majority of the residents are White.

Will this mean they no longer require white mans magic like air conditioning and running water, not to mention dole money.

Maybe - but they'll need to work out how to get it out of the ground without working...  be a bit like Zulus taking over the gold and diamond mines in Sud Afrique - within a week they'd close down, machinery would cease to work, and men would be trapped underground... the actual mining would be done by slaves of the Zulu King .... and any man could be convicted of some offence, or even entire tribes taken captive, and sentenced to slavery in the mines... with workplace standards irrelevant.

Ah - the good old days......

Where are all the Kaffir Luvvahs to justify this violent act against hard working Australians?

Smith?  Mothra?  Greg?  Speak up - nobody is holding you back..... be as vile in your personal comment as you like and don't be held back by reason and sense and decency... those poor Koons out there have been vicitmised for centuries - that's why they hold the keys to this lend.... come on... you can do it!

Get stuck into Whitey for being so mean to them as to hand them that kind of control over other people's property....  BTW - it's the Koons dealing with the imported drugs...... HELLO!  Maralinga didn't quite do its job...

Good idea - shut down the town to deprive the drug lords of their sea in which to swim and fish .... is no town - is no problem!  Burn it to the ground........

Wait for the surrender of all White sovereignty over property paid for etc into the hands of Indigenes, who may or may not even be local any more, since their stamping ground runs from Redfun all the way to the NSW border these days without any clear tribal groups involved.

Every handover is just appeasement and encouragement to go further - this one will start off a chain of Koons wanting to toss Whitey out of 'their' land... watch what happens if the 'courts' come down against the whites.... it'll spread like wildfire...

Should never have handed over Ayers Rock to a small and unrepresentative group of who knows where they came from... but of course, those who did and do the handing over will never have to have their homes confiscated etc..... surely Bellevue Hill is a Sacred Site.... Bondi... Woollahra even has an Aboriginal name.... Sydney Cove .... North and South Head at Sydney ... Manlybeach.. Barrenjoey ...... Cronulla  .....Sacred Sites the lot of them.... and all expensive property to get your hands on... Point Piper is a must....

Sounds like institutionalised racism to me. Why are we creating racist mini communist dictatorships? Who does this actually benefit?

Governments bent on despotism and absolute control, who benefit from politics of division at every turn, since these always remove some rights from those 'at the bottom'.  That politics of division comes about in many ways - from privatisation/preference for 'business on the 'right' to confiscation of owned property to hand to allegedly aggrieved groups who never did one thing with it on the left.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of those locals out there took to the gun... next tribal council meeting.... who knows - but this insanity has to stop somewhere.

Wasn't up on that one - could be.  Looking at this place on the map you wonder why anyone lives there - apart from the opals.  Seems a lot of these Outbackers make money running drugs.

Who are all the users that buy?
