cods was one of those ones arguing against it. She used to claim it would destroy the economy. She'd rather the corrupt banker be protected.

The  dirty, stinking, rotten Banking system, Finance sector and all those other cockroaches that fall under that ambit had their fates delivered in three volumes by Royal Commissioner Payne

Breathtaking in its judgement of the filthy finance system we have had to endure for eons now the real work begins

Unless the Government follows up and enforces Judge Payne's recommendations nothing will change

Bill Shorten has promised to bring in a 'Whistleblower's Act' which protects all those who dob in corrupt behaviour, this is encouraging given that current P.M. Morrison voted 26 times against the Royal Commission

This dirty Government does not deserve another term Australians have been punished by a greed driven industry, one that was protected and protected  by the Liberals

Not just Cods.  Juliar and all the other coalition supporters were fighting to defend the coalition's constant NO votes to bring on the legislation.

Thankfully it's all out in the open on account of Labor passing it from opposition,  now we can really ram it home all the way to election how team Muppet opposed it 26 times

The findings of the Banking Royal Commission in effect have heralded the 'death knell' of the Government

Given the sweeping condemnation of the Finance Sector in the 3 Volume report by Commissioner Kenneth Hayne all the Government could do was parade Josh Frydenburg to lamely bang on about how the 76 recomm4endations from Hayne would be carried out

All a bit like shutting the gate when the horse has well and truly bolted

The Finance Sector will never be the same again. This could well and truly herald a recession

Money will be extremely tight as Banks and Co. go to ground

Whatever the price is, it must be paid in order to bring about real reformation in an industry that was and most probably still is, totally out of control

The end result - a whitewash -

not one thief named at the royal commission.

I expected a list of 100s if not 1000s of thieves to be named -
rounded up and charged.
Looks like those thieves got away it.

The commissioner would have been aware of what went on behind the scenes.

The Libs would have expected a commissioner to help them to protect their mates and likely not been terribly transparent about the expectation.

Red, they have already said they will act on, not implement,  some of the policies. That is code for "we will water down all the findings because we can't piss off our donors".How long did you support these wankers for red, don't you feel embarassed?

can you show me where it says that in that link stuns...all i can find is this..

Shorten will want to go hard. The creation of the royal commission shows there is no political reward for any other course. He called for the royal commission in April 2016 and watched the Coalition oppose the idea for more than 18 months

No I don't feel embarrassed by the fact that I used to support this Government

But I do feel bloody well betrayed by the whole system. I do believe that the government knew full well what was happening in the financial sector. It beggars belief that Malcolm Turnbull was deaf, dumb and blind to what was going on

For heaven's sake he is a qualified barrister and an expert in merchant banking
I believe he was up to his armpits in it

But it was such a big deal that if he had rung the bell on a Royal Commission, his Government would have looked like a bunch of rank amateurs and also that they had the knowledge but refused to act on it because of vested interests

It is no secret that the biggest supporters in Australia of the Liberal Party is the corporate sector

Lots and lots of favours are owed by the Libs to the corporates

In the end Labor managed to rally support for this Royal Commission and brother hasn't it played out well for Labor

Good luck to them this financial Nuclear Bomb needed detonating, even though the consequences of it may well bring on a recession

The Financial sector is a drunk reeling with the power that it has (or had) Now it is time to pay the piper and let the consequences fall where they will

Blood must be spilled and people need to be criminally charged, this is the biggest fraud, hoax, con ever foisted on an Australian public

They need to be hung, drawn and quartered and nothing less than that will do
