why didnt LABOR call a royal when they were in govt????????????....
Please provide a link showing that a Banking Royal Commission was being demanded by the community before the 2013 election.
Must say, I certainly don't recall community demands on an RC. But if coalition supporters want to deflect that's ok. Just don't accept it is ALP's fault the RC wasn't any earlier.
THE TROUBLE WITH THE BANKS HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR A LONG TIME......
What sparked problems with the banks?
It's a long story, but Australia's banks have been plagued with one scandal after another over the past decade. At the heart of it is the banking industry's promotion of an aggressive, sales-driven culture, which emphasises profit at all costs.
In addition, there's the flawed compliance structure, and the refusal of banks to hold anyone in a senior position accountable.
Three years ago, ABC's Four Corners shone a light on the Commonwealth Bank's financial planning scandal.
