It was said she was from Israel? (I think she was actually an Arab Israeli?) Anyhow, this is an appalling murder, and although I have been opposed to Capital Punishment, I might be talked around to the Hang 'em High viewpoint.

certainly life is chaotic and tragic.

challenges will never stop coming

you either become a victim and you go down or you use the challenge to fuel action and you go up.

if my daughter was in melbourne i would be making sure she had her black belt in tae kwon doe , i would (and indeed already have) provided them with small aerosol cans of bushmans tropical strength repellant to spray into the eyes of a would be attacker.

you dont make people safer by telling them that they might be a victim
you make them safer by getting them to aspire to becoming stronger

we do have several skin colours in this world of ours....most are not ashamed of their skin colour as you appear to be....... and if the person is black so be it....we need to know?....being a jew or a Muslim is not so obvious...... if you say M.E.. it could be either...

DAN is a beta male.
as such, it is virtually useless to seek comfort in the "energy" that DAN emits.

i try to be alpha , so my kids can seek some sort of comfort in my energy.
but you can never stop all the chaos and tragedy and it is foolish to think you can.

a leader like Deterte or Putin is very alpha.
do they cause a reduction in crime?

its hard to tell.

i know deterte claims to have dropped a couple of rapists out of his chopper and Vlad has created an environment where the riff raff would be less likely to step out of line.

but there will always be chaos and tragedy and we have to accept this and then counter it to the best of our ability.

DAN certainly isnt going to help you.
probably best he stays in his gated community with his panic button and doesnt risk having his spectacles broken in an altercation . Tony Abbott could probably land a punch. He may be able to teach Dan some basic moves

I don't know there're implications of antisemitism by saying she was a Jewish student. Just look at the Jill Meagher news reports and they clearly say she was Irish. It's merely stating that she was not from Australia, a visitor.

Jewish is a religion not a race. Its like saying someone is a muslim. If it meant a race they would have said she was from israel.

There's no mention of her being a Jew.

People seem to have assumed that she was Jewish.

In fact, she was an Arab Israeli as far as I can see from the reports.

But that has nothing to do with it.

The murder is an appalling thing to have happened and I hope the Police can find the killer and deal with him as soon as possible.

BTW ... there is another thread going on about this topic which I think is one of the most unedifying and embarrassing threads I've ever seen. Sad

havent you noticed nemo every thread ends up like that..

this one is now about religion or colour......a girl is dead on an Australian street.....but thats now lost in this tit for tat.....they dont wish to identify the murderer just the victim...its essential we discover if she was Jewish so we can more or less stop being concerned ... or something like that. Angry
