These people bring their traditions as well as their culture here. All good but the story above is their culture and you stupid Aussies welcome them with open arms so accept their ways.....all of their ways. You can't just nit pick and say you can do this and not that. They live in enclaves and don't associate with other people at all. Do you think that just because they've moved here that all of their practices just cease? You're off ya head if you do. The more that come here, the more it will become like the country they left. Just look at the purple africans here now. Imagine if there were 10 million of them. One day....if shyte keeps going the way it is there will be. Let's hope the stupid in this country wake up before that happens.

Rubbish. The Indians we have in Australia are not as backward in thinking than the arseholes who commit the crimes. The vast majority are well educated. I reckon I'd know.

I am sorry to see this thread deteriorate into its usual "gotta have the last word"..

in todays news we now have more foreign trained doctors in the country than locally trained....

shouldnt we be glad of that?? there are so many doctors and specialists out there that are Indian born ...where would we be without them?

...every sport my g kids take part in there are many Indian kids with their mums and dads doing exactly what we are all doing...enjoying our kids....they are lovely people...

and I am sure just as appalled by this story.....

no it wont happen here..... stooopid bloody thing to say.....and yes there are always one or two that bring their strange culture with them...but its illegal here just like robbing a bank is illegal.....and if they are caught they are dealt with...

what shocks me with this op is the fact its her family.....not one person in the family helped her....tragic...
