Every legislator should be attending these events and learning as much as they can.

Gang violence buy minority immigrants is something that needs to be curtailed by legislation.

The politicians that are too frightened to attend and become informed are negligent and contributing to the problem.

Yes - we need legislation to help the police stop these gangs.
They stopped the bikie gangs in QLD with legislation.
Now they have all come to Victoria to operate
their drug running crime syndicates.

Victoria is seen as an easy place to get away with organised crime.

How about climate change, poverty, aged care, wage theft? Protests in general? Do we make every legislator attend and learn as much as they can at every one of these too?

without having to hang them.

They could have bought a lot of rope with $2800.

That's a horrible thing to say. These are just children we're talking about.

Invading someone's home,
beating them to a pulp,
and stealing all their valuables
Is a hanging offence.

- As far as I know, no one in Australia was hung in the 20th century for trespassing, assault or theft.
- The last person to have been killed by any form of Capital Punishment was in 1967. The last state to abolish Capital Punishment, NSW, was in 1985.
- "Hang 'Em High" was a film more about the consequences of Capital Punishment rather than its advantages.

I sure hope you're not in a position outside of the forum where your personal prejudices affects the lives of people of African origin.

People accuse Capitalism of being a "dog eat dog" system, yet it was the Communists who ate each other when they were starving!

That's a good point Cods,
so the gang crackdown stopped the bikies but not the Sudanese gangs.

On January 18, 2009, 3000 demonstrators marched in Melbourne to condemn the unilateral ceasefire announced by Israel in the Gaza Strip … The rally was organised by Australians for Palestine … Sarah Hanson-Young addressed the (protesters) … (In the crowd was) a placard, carried by a Muslim child … (saying): “Jews haven’t learn (sic) they need (a swastika) more than before”. Another depicted a … Star of David superimposed over a pig. And there was the T-shirt which featured a swastika embedded in a Star of David … emblazoned (with the words) … “Jewed To Death.com”.

The hypocrisy of the pile-on merchants needs to be noted. When they couldn’t convict (Anning) of racism, they started hyperventilating about the $2800 cost to taxpayers of ferrying him from Brisbane to St Kilda beach. Yet no one had any problem when Bill and Chloe Shorten spent far more taxpayer dosh to whoop it up at the mardi gras last year in Sydney … “I don’t think the Australian taxpayer should be footing the bill for (Anning) to hang out with these Nazi mates of his,” said Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young.

April 20 last year:

Palestinians fly swastika kite with petrol bomb across Gaza border into Israel (on) April 20 … Hitler’s birthday

May 21, 2017:

The PA … named a school after Nazi collaborator and war criminal Amin Al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem … (and an associate of Hitler) … When the Nazis offered to free some Jewish children, Al-Husseini fought against their release, and as a result 5000 children were sent to the gas chambers. The PA has named two schools after Nazi collaborator Hassan Salameh … In 1944, he was sent on a mission by the Nazis … (to start an) Arab revolt against the British and poison Tel Aviv’s water sources.
