December 21st is the 30th anniversary of the massacre of 270, mainly Europeans and Americans, by Muzlims. Pan Am flight 103 is an atrocity that a whole generation does not remember. At best, it is associated with international terrorism of vague motives, against a Cold War background.

Lead up:

The humiliation of the 1967 and 73 Israeli-Arab wars, demonstrated to Muzlims that their faith alone did not guarantee military success. In an attempt to bolster their confidence and wounded pride, they quickly turned to safer tactics, like backstabbing. 

In the 1970s, terrorists exchanged the rhetoric borrowed from communist revolutionaries, for that of Muzlim victimhood. The non-religious pretense of the Arab cause then began to unravel. Initially they targeted Israelis, then Jews everywhere, whether Israeli or not. Soon, Muzlims construed the world to be against them. In the process, they realised this new tactic was cheaper than Soviet weaponry, and risked no battlefield defeat, while their populations could sit at home and gloat over the blood of we “Infidels.”

Like a lot of Middle Eastern thug-generals, Gadaffi affected the Arab impression of a European military man. But he used Sharia Law, and when it didn't fit with his Communist methods, he abandoned them, and went native. But he did not break with Russia and Cuba, and importantly, East Germany.

In 1986, with typical Islamic vindictivness, Gaddafi publically called for attacks on Americans anywhere, and sent his agents to Berlin, Germany, to kill them, and anyone else who got in the way. After they killed 3 and maimed and injured 229, Gaddafi sent a Telex of congratulations to his agents at the Lybian Embassy in East Berlin. Those agents were trained by Islamic terrorist Abu Nidal, who had attacked the airports at Rome and Vienna in 1985, killing 20, while wounding or maiming 138.

None of these four atrocities were proxy Cold War operations. They were Islamic, and represent the shift in focus from Jews to the indiscriminate mass-murder favoured by Muzlims today. Gaddafi's so-called warning of Jihad in Europe was a veiled threat, and in 2011 his son joined that Jihad openly.

The 1988 mass-murder over Scotland, was another manifestation of the fanatical Islamic revenge fixation, and is as much a part of present day Muzlim vindictiveness and sadism, as Ayatollah Khomeini's speech branding the USA “the great satan,” the Bali bombings, and the enslavement and genital mutilation of Muzlim women in the name of modesty and morality.

Our media editors and journalists are mostly from the Progressive school, and they cannot bear to put Lockerbie and terrorism in their actual context. It challenges their notion that all cultures share the same respect for human dignity and individual rights. By not recognising the “Elephant in the room,” they jeopardise the stability of the multiculturalism they champion. Appeasement will never satisfy Islam.
