He might even end up, to "save face" doing the job himself, claiming he was never going to pick someone after the humiliation he's been experiencing around this topic.

But in all seriousness, there is a high possibility it will be someone from Fox and Friends.  We'll see.

i think thats just how trump has run things in business and how he now runs things as CEO of USA Pty Ltd.

he has always had a small management team
he has always gone with his gut instincts
he has honed his gut instincts through decades of being at the cutting edge of business.

its probably a smart move.

government , especially the US federal government seems pretty incapable of being nimble and light on its feet.

facebook, google, amazon...the new success stories are very light on at the top.
you have to be built that way in the new age.

trump seems to get that.

a few tweets and wham...he's in the white house.

he could have gone the traditional route of employing armies of people to door knock and drive people to the polls but he just did his campaign so much more effectively and so much more efficiently.

he deserves kudos for that.

he doesnt need tiresome chodes in the white house, party poopers who like to look all sad and stressed and startled.  he needs to keep himself surrounded by an awesome vibe, so he can keep on being "awesome".

it would be better for the USA if he turned the white house into an east coast version of Heffs "playboy mansion" and just kept the vibe of awesomeness going.
what would be achieved in the bedroom would transfer to the boardroom.
it would put the leaders of canada, mexico and the european serfdoms "out of state".
they would feel meek and weak and newtered and they would be easier to dominate.
i think it would be a smart move to appoint a stripper from vegas as chief of staff just to intimidate trudeau and his ilk.
have her give the Donald a massage whilst signing new trade deals etc

No it's not.

The problem is that it's his ego making the decision.

That, and the constant "gut" over experts will ruin the US.

Don't pretend it isn't true.  His management style is not very successful as we've seen time and time again.

Anything that can rely on his celebrity does well, no doubt, but in the real business world where there aren't layers of people who have protected and bailed him out in the past, he has failed spectacularly, mostly due to his lack of discipline and total ignorance, mostly willful to what he's doing.

Sadly, it's the same still after all these years for his presidency.

Don't confuse his celebrity success for genuine business acumen.

In the private sector maybe.

Look at how well things have gone for him whenever he's had to deliver something, like what is expected of him as President.

Not good...

In today's dollars, Trump inherited $430 million. He has achieved nothing but celebrity.

Will son-in-law Jared be his chief of staff? That is what is being reported. No one else wants the job.

Donald Trump Would Be Richer If He'd Have Invested in Index Funds

Quote:
[...]if Trump had invested in an index fund in 1988, his net worth would be as much as $13 billion.

An 11-second video has surfaced of new Trump Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney calling Trump "a terrible human being" during a Nov. 2, 2016, congressional debate.

Fake News!

Oh wait,

He won't last long when Trump finds out.  I guess he again didn't do his homework.
